Is a "laundry" sharpie just like a normal Sharpie?

Is it still permanant, and will it work for writting on CDs?

The laundry one claims to be permanent even after washings. That is not a problem with CDs so they are usable for that also.

It will work fine for CDs. A laundry sharpie does not wash out of clothes .It is permanant.

Yes, in a way. It's still permanent, but when used on fabric it doesn't bleed like a regular Sharpie. So yes, it should work fine on a cd.
