I had self-adhesive sports banners and other sticky stuff on my walls and now Im re-decorating and Im left with sticky brown marks everywhere. How do I get it off without messing up the blue paint underneath???

Use a good quality eraser, it really works... or goo gone. That works too.

you can try Mr. Clean's Magic eraser. But first I would take something thin and try to work up any thick adhesive carefully without getting at the paint...I usually use my thumbnails and then just wash my hands. There are also adhesive removers but they can be harsh and may hurt the paint so do a small check in an inconspicuous area

I used orange hand cleaner successfully without marring the latex paint to get rubber based
goo off the wall. This was available in my garage, no cost.

goof off works even better. depends on what the sticky residue is??!!
