I have had my ceramic tile in my house for 4 months now. After every mopping when it dries leaves a film or haze on it, so when someone is walking on it it leaves footprints until all the space has been walked on. Is their a way to get rid of this or what should I mop with? PLEASE HELP!!!

are you using a cleaner specified for ceramic tile? Don't use regular floor cleaners or Pine-Sol type cleaners. They will smudge and streak. Also, use a clean mop head. I'm guessing that's probably the problem.

Go to a flooring store and ask. They sell products just for this purpose.

Wash with a new mop and boiling hot water, Don´t add any floor cleaner. The tiles will dry quicker with the heat of the water , and will kill the germ´s. I have marble and ceramic floor tiles in my home. The less floor cleaner you use , the cleaner they will stay, also many floor cleaning liquids have bleach of some kind in them. If you wish to keep your tiles from fading and streak free. Then I find this the best way, I also use a good old fashioned mop.

just as the other people suggested use a fresh mop and change your water often id suggest using vinegar in the water about 1/4 c to 1 gal of water if you have a big floor change water often make sure water is hot and work from outside to in but make sure you sweep well first it will leave the floor streak free and easier to clean next time around works well for windows too

The man that put down my tile said Windex and it really works. You can also buy the windshield washer stuff it's cheaper and works just as well. :)

Vinegar water should help. I know you don't want to hear this, but you may have to sponge it on hands and knees and change water often.... but it should work......I had to do this in my new tile in the bath and kitchen. About 550 square feet...........

that is because your grout is not sealed. you will need to first clean the haze of with a grout haze remover and then seal the grout with a grout sealer
