Opps. Hope your carpet has some sort of tuffing. Cutting out the burned fibers, looks like the only option.

Cut the top layer of the carpet only. Take only the worst burnt pieces. Or you can try windex, sometimes it will remove the burnt coloring. Try this first, if it doesn't work, then cut tiny small sections from the carpet, you can always cut more as needed, but, once you cut it, it cannot be put back on.

After a match has burnt, the sulfur and other material turns to ash. If the black area on your carpet is black and"hard", then the fibers burnt. Can fix, clip the burnt fibers off below the burn.

If the burnt stuff is just the match residue, then you can use a mini steam cleaner or something like "spot shot".

If the carpet fibers are burnt, you'll need to patch repair it.

Depending on how bad the carpet was damaged you might be able to remove the "black stuff" by cutting a potato in half and using the white inside part to scrub the carpet possibly removing the stain. Otherwise you will have to clip it.

you have to trim it out of the carpet and then scrub it with a cleaner and hope for the best . good luck .

cut it out. but it matter on how large a burn it was you may need a patch.

you cannot get it off; you have to replace the area
