I actully cut a branch from one of my rose and put in a plastic and now it has leaves. I was told by a friend since it doesn't have strong roots/ not winter hardy enough, it will die in winter here in Boston area. Is it possible to save it? maybe I keep inside the house in winter? etc?

The unit is running fine as far as I can tell, but I can only get the house down to 80 degrees in the daytime. At night it will get down to whatever I set it at. I have changed the batteries in the thermostat, changed the air filter, hosed down the out side unit, and turned it off for several hours. The pipe leading from the unit into the house is extremely cold and even a bit frosty in the middle of the day. Anything else I can do before I call an HVAC?

Interested whether heating with natural gas is cleaner (or "greener") than oil, which is cheaper to use, etcetera.

its a medium side with a biiiiiig window, im painting it next week (white) because im turning 16 soon, and new school year, i really f*cked around the last few years at school, so im going to clear everything out and paint it white. i have a creamy/ beige carpet, and white curtains with little desgins, and a single bed. the ceiling is quite high, so without anything on the walls, it looks quite empty, how can i make it last me a few more years, a look nicer, and more sort of grown up? thank youu!

I have a wooden window in my shower, and as you might have guessed, it is beginning to rot. This is a rental house that I have just moved into, and I'm wondering what I can do about it. I have spray frosted the actual glass to prevent peeping toms (lol), and it's beginning to wear away as well. The molding around the window is actually plastic, so it's waterproof. The only problem is the actual window. Is there something like blurry glass or something that I can buy and insert in front of the window and caulk around? Or if you have another idea, please share it. I don't want to stain it or try to repair the window as it is already beyond repair. Thanks!

I'm a single guy (bachelor) with a decent income, fairly conservative taste, I'm 32 years old, and I'm starting from scratch. Plain walls...need new furniture...everything.

I have a ton of bottle caps that came off of glass bottles. They are really cool and I would like to make somethings with them. Does anyone have any ideas? If so, can you include the directions or a website explaining it? I need some inspiration. Thank you.

A thermal fuse went out in our dryer, the part cost 16.95, the repair shop is 5 minutes away, the man was at our house for 20 minutes, He charged us 49.95 for the trip, 40.00 for labor and 16.95 for the part. Should I be making some phone calls? This seems really ridiculous to me.

memorial garden located in Georgia, so the climate does not involve a harsh winter zone. The plant requirements are: "small, shade-loving plant, shade-tolerant and drought tolerant".

other attributes that we'd like to consider: petite, lovely, long-lived (perennial), feminine, strong. possibly purple?

Thank you in advance for suggestions!

There where many problems to the house I am living in. She said she would sublease the house when everything was fixed. 2 Weeks later she called and said she would not do that anymore. I found another place to live once we were able to leave this place we were at now. What do I do or what can I do. Cause I am stuck.

I heard that you could fill up a bucket with water and dishwashing detergent or other liquids. Apparently, the mosquitoes will lay the eggs, but will not hatch. Thanks!

I feel so dumb asking this. I'm looking at mattress toppers / bed toppers (not the foam ones, but the feather ones). I'm planning on buying one.. but: Are they suppose to lay ontop of your fitted sheet? do I put them under the fitted sheet? How do they stay in place? If you lay directly on them, with no sheet over the topper-- do you wash them (or dry clean) them often? They look fluffy and comfy.. but I'm obviously not grasping the concept.

I saw an insect I've never saw before and am curious as to what it was. Firstly i'm in the UK which may narrow the search down abit. It looked like a wasp, it was black and yellow also but not as bright as a wasp if you know what I mean. It was about 6 cm long it had a needle on its tail and it alone was about 1 cm long, It had a wing span of about 5 cm and was quite a scary looking thing, it was also very agressive. it was about 3 times bigger than you bog standard wasp but the needle type thing on its tail was the most promenant thing
