A few weeks ago we had a party at our house and some people enjoyed themselves a little too much... to put it bluntly, one of my friends puked in my bathtub. Since then the tub drain has drained really slowly. I bought 2 bottles of DRANO and used them both in accordance with the instructions but it hasn't helped at all. I don't really want to call my landlord to come and snake it for fear of what he might find, so I'd rather un-clog it myself if I can. Anyone have any experience or knowledge that might help me with this problem?

What is your advice on uphostering a sofa with a high end microfiber called Sensuede or with a chenille? I have to make a decision this week. Does chenille tend to pill? How durable is chenille? I know the Sensuede brand of microfiber is really durable, so that's a huge plus, and it's so soft to the touch.

I have the fabric swatches here. Sensuede's cleaning code is S (solvent) or W (water), whereas the chenille's cleaning code is S.

I've bid on some roofing tiles on ebay, havent paid for them yet, but its only £20 anyway, but the seller has sent me a sample which I have taken to a builders merchants, who tell me that they are fibre cement made to look like slate, and they DO look like slate, at a distance, and they are strong. They are about 30 years old, and the builders yard don't think they're asbestos. I like the look of them, I like the look of slate, but I've got a slate roof on my main roof, and they're breaking and falling all the time, and they get on my nerves! What should I do, I can get all the tiles I need to roof a big extension fo £20 Help, you roofers and builders out there, give me your opinions!

I tried cutting the corners into sections so that when I fold it downwards to cover the sides it wont bulge, but the end result is not nice to look at. The cut edges were eye sores. I wonder how the makers of computer tables did it since all curved sides were smoothly covered. I was thinking that maybe there is pattern to follow when covering curved sides. please help me.

is there a place to purchase the glue in bulk then cut it to the size I need. I plan to place a strip on the book cover and bind the pages to it... I am avoiding purchasing the expensive equipment untill the future.

Bought some bulk grass seed and starter fertilizer in May.

Being that I drive for a living and I am away from home more then I am at home. They have been in the trunk of my car in brown paper bags since the day I bought them. The car sits out in all forms of weather. I was wondering if they would still be any good to use.

I would only be using them on your typical city lawn. I just bought them to fill in those burned out bare spots. Nothing fancy in Ohio.

I absolutely LOVE the Fall season, and I start putting out my fall garlands, pumpkins, and apple cider candles around the last week of August/First Week of September. Also, Christmas is my favorite Holiday, and I start decorating the house in the first week of November. I am curious to know when others begin decorating, and if anyone else loves that time of year as much as I do!

The ficus rubiginosa (aka Port Jackson Fig; Rusty Fig and Little Leaf Fig) fruits as often as three times per year. The berry/figs are sticky, attract flies and ants and stain everything they touch (usually carpets after sticky crushed figs are tracked into ones house). Need a legal way to stop the tree from ever fruiting. Oil spray, anti-pollination potions, etc. All tested ideas welcome.

I'm looking for some sort of online store that sells zippers. The kind of zippers that you can work with, sew into things, etc. I'm hoping for something that is 4-5 feet long or 48"-60" long, because I'm making a guitar case for a friend.

My sister just bought an old house and we are re-modeling it. We have not ran into any problems until we started pulling up the old linoleum in the kitchen. Is there any tips or secrets to pulling up old linoleum off plywood floors? Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance!

Also, we do not have electricity or water hooked up yet.

I left my house and the toilet was fine. It had not been bumped at all. When I got home 2 hours later, a huge crack ran down the side of the tank! Water flooded everywhere! This house is a rental and the landlord is saying I broke it! How can it crack without an impact? The toilet is 17 years old. I've lived there 10 months. I didn't touch the bolts. The temperature in our house did drop to near freezing several months ago during a six day power outage. What resources can I use to research this for my defense? Thanks

I've finally decided to do it, repaint my room! I'm just not sure which color to pick...

my comforter is from victoria's secret. it has white and light pink polkadots on one side, and on the other side it has light pink and white stripes. The outside trim of the comforter is a light green.

if you go to the victoria's secret website, click sleepwear, and then click bedding, you'll see it.

I reallly LOVE bright colors, especially blues and my furniture is a dark brown.

any suggestions??

thanks!

It used to produce really lovely white flowers, about 5-10 at a time, and now they are all green. They aren't withered, all the foliage looks good, and I haven't done anything different that I am aware.

I keep the plant indoors, in a well lit room, though it is not in a window. I am in TX with less than perfect air conditioning, it gets hot in here at times. I try to water once a week.

I transplanted it into a bigger pot about 2 months ago, but the change in color of the blooms didn't happen till a few weeks after this. About 2 weeks before I noticed the color change, I cut a couple flowers off the plant for a bouquet.

Is there anything I should do to tend this plant so it stays healthy? Can I get the pretty white flowers back?

Please help, this was given to my family on the occasion of my mom's funeral in December. It has done fine since then, so I was presuming it had a nice long life. Since I still have grief issues, this would be kind of a hard plant to lose.

Thanks

I am a concerned about safety in my home. There are three levels in my home and two are at ground level. Recently there has been a increase in violence in the area that I live in and I have had a cracked window at the lower level. What type of things could I do to protect my home and myself in it. I have a dog(mini pincher) who barks at strangers, i am scared to wake up to a stranger in my home one day as they have been running into peoples homes lately. i have kids but should I consider buying a small gun?

Or may I just remove the vines? I only have one healthy one left of 10 and don't want to lose that one too! Any ideas on preventing/traeting wilt? Is it true that the plant may grow back next year?
