There is a piece of land about 1 mile before you get to the front lawn of the house. Our drive goes back 1 1/2 mile before it dies into the garage. Dad thinks we should cut down some of the small trees on each side of the driive way which would created about 1/3 acre of land that is wide open. So I was wondering what type of landscape would look good in that area some thing that say home and nice. But not too plan out.

I'm growing parsley indoors, and it's been doing very well. Just in the last few weeks, there's a white powder on the leaves and it's spreading. Did I over feed it? (I use Miracle Grow) Is it from other plants in the conservatory? Very new to gardening and appreciate any advice.

My upstairs toilet was leaking. I pulled up the toilet, cut away the rotten wood and still have to replace the floor flange. It looks like the drain itself is PVC but I'm not sure. My house is in the north-east and it was built in '78. I think the toilet and the wax ring are original, which brings up another question: How often are you supposed to change the wax ring, if at all? I have two other toilets. I think one other is also leaking.

I have a Craftsman 27 hp B&S, 54in. cut with three cutting blades. What's the easiest way to take the bearing housing off, without wrecking it and do I need to replace the whole thing or can I reuse the original one? The problem I'm having with it, is that it's not turning freely like the other two.

Recently I have encountered some older homes with strange features. In the basements, usually cinder block types, I have come across random "showers" in the corners. All that is there is a pipe with a shower head coming out of it and a small drain on the cement floor. What are (or were) these showers used for?

Hello all,
I was wondering if there is an easy way to remove the glaze on the bathtub after it has started peeling? A contractor came in a few years back and did a very shoddy job on it, and now most of the bottom of the tub has peeled off but the sides are still intact. Please help, thanks.

This might seem like a stupid question, but I am buying a lot of seeds next year for spring. And it says how wide the flower will grow. here is any example. a hollhock grows about 30-40 inches wide. does this mean 1 seed will grow that wide, or all of the seeds together will grow that wide? sorry this is a dumb question but i don't know. thanks in advance.

Hey everyone! I could use some help. I'm a teen and I want to redo my room. I was thinking that a beach themed room would be SO cool, because I love the beach, although I don't live near one. I have a beautiful navy blue quilt that my grandma made. I really want to use that, but I don't know how to really match that with a beach themed room. I love the color blue for my walls and for anything! i also like sea shells, dolphins, and things like that. Most of the places I've found that have beach themed items, are too "OLD". Please give me something to work with! Thanks! God Bless
