Theres a lot of them this year, much more than normal, but that might be because this year I planted more flowers. I was just walking outside and there were 7 of them flying and hovering around me. has anyone else noticed this? or is it just in my area. i live in in ontario canada.

Do you mean butterflies?

It's global warming, dear! EVERYTHING you see is due to global warming! @-)

I know what you mean. My yard is full of them and I'm happy to report that I've seen several black swallow tails. I'm happy because I planted a garden just for them. I've also had a lot of dragonflies and I'm not where near a body of water. I really enjoy all the activity in my garden. Oh, and all those missing bees, I think they are in my yard. I don't mind though because I love bees. I'd be a bee keeper if I had the land for it.

I live in SW Mi and I have not seen any butterflies, So please send them to me. :-) I have A few bees. The Dragonflies are too many now. I know it is all due to the weather. With all this freaky weather... I do have an abundance of Hummingbirds,. I had to add 4 more feeders due to the amount I have been getting. They are the ones that fertilized my garden this year.

You are lucky to have so many butterflies! I don't think that I've seen 7 all year. I have seen more hummingbirds and dragonflies though. Plenty of bees here!

I thought it was just me. My yard is full of the most of the day. I do set out fruit for them so maybe that helps.
