I found some spots on some of my basil plant leaves. The spots are either white or very light yellow. They are very small, like the same circumferance of a small pin.
What are they? What's going on?
The plant is in a pot. I was growing in my kitchen but ants came for it so I moved it to my picnic table outside.

This is not as strange a question as it seems... I am getting ready to paint my bedroom and love the deep reds, also love pink so I'm torn... (single, so don't have to ask 'permission', lol...).. Also, are you Male or Female... (don't have to answer that if you don't want). Thanks a bunch!

I am so angry!! UGH...I discovered I left my ink pen in the washing machine, and caught it before putting it in the dryer, but my clothes went through. I didn't see any ink stains on the wet clothes so just ran it through the dryer. What do I need to do, especially now I think my washing machine is probably ink stained. Do I also need to clean my drying machine?

I have seen other responses that once it's put through the dryer it's pretty much over. On the brightside, these are whites that have been stained. I assume I should make sure my washing machine is clean before doing anything.

Thanks for everyone's help.

My girlfriend tried to do me a favor and wanted to wash an old pillow of mine full of microbeads. The pillow was not designed to be washed but she didn't know this. now the washing machine is full of these things!

I have scooped up as much as possible with a strainer, and I have used a steam cleaner to suck up as many loose beads as possible. when I went through a partial spin cycle, more beads came out!

How do I get my machine back in working order?

What's the best route to take? Should I tear it down and rebuild it from the ground up, or should I just tear it down and replace it with a modular home? How hard is it to get a modular home in Southern California?

I'm getting ready to paint my office. There is a chair rail, and the top half will be a dusty blue, and the bottom half will be a pretty dark gray color. The desk, bookcase, shelves etc. are white. I have used B&W pictures in the room. I want solid curtains, but what color? Do I try and do the "designer" thing and use a completely different color that anything else in the room (like fuschia or red), or should I just go with something simple, like a lighter gray or blue? Or should I look for printed curtains that complement the room colors?

Stucco products like Total Wall, Drivit, etc. should be fairly easy to make rather than buying the combined powdered mix.

I have what is commonly called an Umbrella plant. (Don't know the real name of the plant), and a bunch of the leaves are falling off. I have never owned one of these plants before and don't know if this is normal. Could it be overwatered? Thanks in advance for any advice!!! ☺

It took almost all afternoon to get this door on. This house is very old and my dad was no carpenter, so things are not level everywhere, including the opening for the door. I inhearited this old house from my dad who died over a year ago. I keep fixing small things. Its like a giagantic money monster here.
The new door is very tight and he shimmed stuff in to level it up. Now it is so tight I have to shove on the door to get it to close. He said it will loosen up over time. Is he telling me the truth or is this a botched job?

Our three bedroom house is built on a concrete slab, and the pipes go through it. That makes it very hard to replace pipes. If we replace the HVAC central unit and outside unit, will they most likely use the old pipe? How likely is that to be a good option?

If we do it that way, how much is it likely to cost? The cost of the new central unit, the new outside unit, and the labor?

The A/C is electric and the heat is gas. We wouldn't mind converting to all-electric, because our electricity is cheaper than our gas. But if we did that, would it have any effect on what pipes are needed?

The present system is 35 years old, and doesn't do a very good job of air conditioning.

Mower worked okay five days ago. New gas put in, spark plug looks fairly clean, filter not very dirty. Will run at at a low-to-moderate speed, but dies when throttle is moved all the way forward, as if it is being chocked down. The choke is activated by pushing in on a little rubber bulb, which springs back out after each push. How would I check the choke for proper action? I'm thinking it might be stuck in the choke position. Can anyone help?

I'm at work for 9 hours of the day and my roommate is convinced that it would be cheaper to leave the air on. Which is the right plan of action? I do want to save as much money as I can and am willing to just not have the air, but my roommate won't listen unless there is some kind of proof. Help.
