all throughout the house on my hardwood floors. The bubblegum is hardened and has turned black. How do I get this bubblegum up?

Freeze it (put some ice cubes in a ziploc bag and sit it on the gum). When it freezes, you can just pop it off.

The best time to remove bubblegum off the floor is when it's fresh. Try these:

(1)rub peanut butter on the bubblegum & carefully remove with a paint scraper or a plastic knife, being very careful not to scrape the floor.

(2) place an ice cube on the bubblegum, until it hardens, then remove the same way as mentioned above.

My friendly advice to you, is not to buy bubblegum until your children are old enough to chew it without getting it all over the floor. A sugar free gum, later down the road for your children is better for their teeth.

Bubblegum responds well to oil........Jif peanutbutter is often quoted as a bubblegum remover. Mayo might work. Maybe even lemonoil furniture polish......rub and work it well before wiping.

Freezing like everyone says and then with what is left Goo Gone is good at taking off sticky stuff. Works well on those price stickers you can't get off too.

When it is hard, (just freeze it if it isn't) I use a plastic ice scrapper, like the one that would be used in the winter on the car windshield, and just carefully scrape it up.

I agree, freeze it and then rub it off...it will come up. Then use murphey's oil soap to remove the residue. Murpheys is an oil based cleaner and it helps to break what is remaining off.

Good luck!
