I feel so dumb asking this. I'm looking at mattress toppers / bed toppers (not the foam ones, but the feather ones). I'm planning on buying one.. but: Are they suppose to lay ontop of your fitted sheet? do I put them under the fitted sheet? How do they stay in place? If you lay directly on them, with no sheet over the topper-- do you wash them (or dry clean) them often? They look fluffy and comfy.. but I'm obviously not grasping the concept.

My feather bed is under the fitted sheet and I use an extra deep mattress cover on top of that to keep it in place. They also sell garters that you can use to attach the mattress cover to the corners to prevent shifting. I use a duvet cover on my feather topper which keeps it cleaner and prevents allergens. I dry clean mine about twice a year because it really doesn't get body oils, dirt, etc. on it because it is protected. I do fluff it up occasionally in the dryer on high heat.

If you use drawstring sheets, you can anchor your feather bed in place since the drawstring sheet is not going to move at all allowing the feather bed to move. a feather bed is a great way to improve your mattress saving the expense of buying a new mattress. Drawstring sheets are also much more comfortable since the stay tight and smooth. The drawstring is self adjusting so the size of the mattress is less of an issue

It is just like a sheet attached to the fluffy topper. It snugs under your mattress just like a sheet. Then you put your sheet on top of it. Can I suggest rather that feathers get the fake feather ones. That way you can wash it from time to time!

The mattress topper I use is similar to a fitted sheet, with those elasticized sides that slide down and tuck under. I use it UNDER my fitted sheet, as an extra layer of comfort. I wash the sheets (of course) and also, but not as often, wash the topper, since mine is not "feathers" and can be washed.

Just today, I made my dream bed and I'd love to share it with all of you. In this order: Bragada mattress, neiman marcus lunaluxe mattress pad, northern nights ( qvc) featherbed, fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet, flat sheet- all tucked in. I have the Dr Mary Side sleeper pillow bar pillow- which I use even though I sleep on my stomach too. Great investment. Omg, can I tell you guys I can't wait to get into bed tonight. I tested it out this afternoon and I didn't want to move. I googled how to make a westin bed/ Hilton bed to learn how the pros do it and I'm really happy with my results. I first combined baking soda with lavender oil and sprinkled that on my mattress for a few hours, then vacuumed it thoroughly. Smells so good. Sweet dreams y'all!

We love our feather bed. I just put it right on top of the mattress and it stays put as it is heavy. My fitted sheets fit right over top of the feather bed and mattress (I have a foam mattress), but if yours would not, get the fitted sheets with the deep pockets.

you put them under the fitted sheet

you can not put feather ones on the washing machine but you ca take it somewhere to get proffesionally cleaned

they have a piece of elastic at each corer that goes over the corner of your bed

the best thing to do is put your had onder it each day to puff it up then when you change your sheets take it off completely shake it and put it back on the bed upside down

on a clear day hang it on the washing line just to get some air through this will make it last longer

we lover our mattress topper i totally reccomend it it is lovely

best wises
