I'm afraid the zoysia will choke out the tomato plants. I just want to plant five or six plants. How much room will I need in a raised bed? If a raised bed is the best choice, how do build a bed to keep the bed safe from the zoysia?

I just bought new bed sheets and just washed them, along with a couple of other blankets, now there's all these little fuzzballs on them. Is there some little electronic device like a mini vaccuum) to get these off? I tried a lint roller and that didn't work, it's like they're still stuck on there.

We are in the process of purchasing a brand-new home that will need window treatments. We are looking for something that can be opened during the day and something private at night. I personally would like to buy blinds, but know from experience that my fat cat will crawl through the sides and bend them. He doesn't chew on them or anything, just likes to squeeze through so he can sit and look out the window. And I'm not sure that I could make drapes look good. Would the faux wood blinds be tough enough? Anyone have any ideas for cat-proof window treatments? Thanks!

I quit trying to grow tomatoes a few years ago because, I can grow lovely, tall, healthy looking plants but, no tomatoes? Is there something I can do to grow great tasting tomatoes? I always planted them where they would have full sun all day. Can they grow and produce in shady areas?

Visions of spring time,
Paints a picture in my mind.
In fact so distinct,
That I can almost smell,
The sweetness,
Of the spring flowers,
That are beginning to grow.
As the cold winter breeze,
Progressively warms,
Now letting the sunlight,
Shine onto the trees to bring life,
To new leaves.
Spring time is near,
The dark skies of winter
Are no more.
The sun stays later,
Making the days feel longer,
All because Spring is now here.
Hear the birds chirping in the distance,
Singing their song,
Calling out to one another.
The Delightful assortments
Of tulips and daffodils.
Fills the portrait, in my imagination
With a rainbow of colors.
A portrait so real,
I feel as if I were,
Walking on crisp green grass,
Smelling the fresh flowers
Tasting this seasons fruit,
While feeling the wind blow,
Through my hair.
Listening to the sounds,
Of the ocean,
The waves smacking back and forth.
Watching the children,
Playing outside,
Enjoying the outdoors.
Spring time is like no other,
Somewhere from far,
it comes once a year.

I'm currently in my 4th day of 'gutting' a house with the ole lath and plaster. The house was built in the 1920s. By the end of the day, I'm head to toe in dust/particles. This my sound gross but my snot is black/gray.

I would like to know how safe it really is to work in this environment. I have a feeling its just a little irritation (had a mild noise bleed today) or is it more serious (could possibly be hurting my lungs without a face mask.

Thanks

I know the span & pitch of my roof (28'+16"[overhang back]+40"[overhang front] @ 4/12 pitch) but am having a wee bit of problems figuring the math out. We are going to place it approx. 60" in from the front. The height for the chimney must be 3' above the highest point where it passes throught the roof and at least 2' above anything within a 10' horiznal radius of it.
