Carpeting it probably one of the dirtiest things in the house. Even if you vacuum everyday, it still gets full of dirt, dust, crud, hair, and whatever else. I would love to put hardwood floors in my house. All you have to do is dust and polish once in awhile and they look wonderful and your house is a whole lot cleaner. If you want rugs, you can buy throw rugs and vacuum them or throw them away once they get dirty.
My daughter has allergies to dust and dust mites and her allergist told me to take the carpets out of the house to help with her allergies. I wish I could, but can't afford it right now. So I vacuum a lot with a very good vacuum that has a HEPA filter on it. It does help.

My old house had carpet through out, good things about that..kids could sllep on the floor, soft to sit on and warm on the feet..bad things are, anything spilled will stain no matter what protection you have and how much you scrub! Smells will stay no matter what you do. My new house has wood floors throughout, good thing, spills don't stain! Unless you don't find them for a few days! Bad thing about wood floors, hard to clean, you can sweep everyday but yet when you wash the water turns completly brown! and any hair(dog or cat) with dust ball under everything! I still like my hard wood floors better then carpet though!

It holds dirt and germs in the fibres. People I know that have worked with carpet do not recommend it for these reasons. Hardwood/laminate flooring is all the rage now. However, I grew up with carpet in the entire house and I'm still alive.

Not sure about the sites, but I dont like carpet for these reasons... Light carpets stain quickly and I dought vacum cleaners purify them... who knows how many dust particles are imbeded in there. I like wood flooring. Tile is a bit too cold in mornings and it is a bit expensive to buy and install. But they all have there pros and cons. Wood flooring could warp if you dont prep the floor good enough, but other than that, Ill stick to wood flooring.

it accumulates dust, harder to clean than normal floors, it also gathers moisture and breeds bacteria (depending on the environment of course), it costs more to install (if it's a fixed carpet) and there are certain instances where there will be stains that cannot be removed anymore.
it's ok to have a carpet in condominium units that have cleaning services you dont have to worry about. if it's in a house, think long and hard if you really want it.

Dont use Carpet. It is full of Dust , Incects, Worm, and all bad matters those can not be seen in nacked eyes. You can keep it 100% clean only One day Maximum. It is not healthy to use Carpets.
