I just bought new bed sheets and just washed them, along with a couple of other blankets, now there's all these little fuzzballs on them. Is there some little electronic device like a mini vaccuum) to get these off? I tried a lint roller and that didn't work, it's like they're still stuck on there.

Use a razor, or if you look in a fabric shop you can find a handy little tool that removes them.

Are the fuzzballs from the blankets that were washed with the sheets or is it the sheet set itself that actually became fuzzy?

If the fuzzies are actually from the sheet set, then it is a very definite sign that the sheets are poor quality. That is something that should only start happening if the sheets are pretty darned old (old as in, they're starting to actually become worn out in spots). If this is what happened, and you still have the receipt, I'd definitely see about returning them because that just should not be happening to new sheets.

If the fuzz on your sheets came from the blankets that were washed with them, I'd first try rewashing just the sheets with a bit of fabric softener to see if that loosens the fuzzballs. If that doesn't work, you could try one of those small battery-powered sweater shavers. You can usually find them at stores like Wal-mart for about $10.00 or less (sometimes they're kept near the ironing section and sometimes you can find them by the luggage). I think that is going to be your quickest and most effective solution, and, unlike a razor, you won't run a risk of accidentally putting a cut in your sheets.

You could wash them on their own in White Vinegar to help remove the fuzz, this treatment may or may not remove them the first time if that happens just repeat the process until the lint releases itself from the fiber of the sheets, I have found this to work at times as this happened to me a couple of times. Good Luck !

Apparrently the sheets are not of really good quality. I have found that buying sheets with at least a 300 thread count is well worth the money. I find them on sale at times for around $49.00 for a Queen set. Believe me it is well worth the price. I have a couple of sets I have had for about three years and they still look new. The higher the thread count the better. As for saving the ones you have, you may try one of those gizmos you can get to shave sweaters....good luck.

Buy a mini fluff remover. It works on batteries and can be bought at any place that sells materials. Not expensive either and lasts for ages. Just tell them your problem and they'll know what to give you.
