My kitchen sink will randomly gurgle when not in use. I'm scared that it's going to back up, what can I do and what's wrong with it?

There is probably a drain vent clogged up somewhere that's causing it to gurgle. It won't back up, but since most drain vents are on the roof, I'd call a plumber.

check your grease trap, its where it could clog up,its usually located on the outside of the house right about where you sink is!it will look like a big cap on your outside wall.open it up and make sure its not clogged.

Call a pro or goto a store and pick up Liquid Plumber or something like it and use that. Liquid snake works ok.
