Not ameryllis, looks like a yukka I have got lots of them and they flowered in the summer. It looks as if you have over watered. Try putting it in the ground and water frugally.

Looks like an Amiryllis to me.... seasonal.... blooms at Christmas...... large leaves and one or two beautiful blooms...

it looks like a mother in laws tongue plant.
