just closed on a new home construction last June, during the winter I came to realize that the grade of our driveway is dangerously steep. I actually had 2 snowremoval contracts canceled as a result of this. Is this an issue I can bring to my builder?

I live in Zone 7b. I am wanting to do a flower bed next to my house facing east. My thumb is not green. Does anyone have any suggestions as to tall flowers for close to the house, mid-high flowers for the middle, and a good border flower? I would like to do a variety of different colored Foxgloves for next to the house and some Phlox for the border. Any suggestions?

For stovetops (traditional electric) and laminate countertops. I like bleach and "with bleach" products, but looking for a better product to clean grease and food.

I want to reattach the original arched screen door to my tudor home. I found it in the basement and it is in great shape but is minus all of it's hardware. I am unsure how the wood screen doors used to work. The door is chisled for three hinges and has a circular hole for a knob. What kind of knob and closing mechanism was used before that ugly arm thing they use today? The edge with the knob is completely smooth so I'm not sure how the door would stay closed. I'm also not sure of the hinges that I need. Could they be spring hinges that were used? I'd appreicate any help from someone with one of these doors. Thanks.

I don't remember the variety off hand but I have one of the bigger varieties of tomatoes growing in a large pot. The plant seems to be doing very well and is producing a good amount of tomatoes (none ripened yet). When we planted the plant, we did not cut off the bottom few branches and bury them to promote root growth, can I still do this? I have room in the pot to add soil if so, or I might re-pot to a larger pot. The bottom branches are pretty thick now so I didn't want to cut them off if it was not worth the extra root growth.

The plant is probably 2 1/2 feet tall and very full (growing in a tomato "cage").

Is there anything you need to do to a half whiskey barrel before planting flowers in it?
What I mean is...the smell of whiskey coming from a whiskey barrel is so strong, it seems like it would be toxic to the plants!
Does it affect them in any way?
Other than maybe making drunk plants?lol

Hello. I was wondering how I would go about growing my submerged Cryptocoryne in an emersed environment. I don't have enought room in my aquarium for it and I would like it to flower. Whats the best way to do this? What conditions does it require (soils, moisture, container...)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The grass in my yard is very carpet like and thick. It takes longer to come in to green in the spring and browns more when it's dry. I live in central Ilinois. I noticed that some of my neighbors who have the same type of grass burn their yards in the spring? Does anyone know what type of grass this is and if I should burn it as they do?
