The sooner the better. Use Sodium Percarbonate, commonly sold as Oxy-Clean. Make a small bit of paste with it and using a toothbrush, lightly scrub it into the spot. You should be really amazed at how well it works. I also use it in my whites & colored washes and allow them to soak. Whites are white and colors are bright. It will not affect the fixed dye in the fabric. Also, it will not ruin your toothbrush, Sodium Percarbonate breaks down into oxygen and baking soda. I also use it to sanitize my son's toys and diapers. Good Luck!

If there is milk and/or sugar in the coffee, either of those can make the stain a lot harder to get out. I swear by Zout. Another stain remover that works on coffee is Gonzo. With either one, you apply it, rub it in, and then wait a few minutes before washing normally. Don't put the PJ's in the dryer till you know for sure that the stain is out.

Rinse the area with cold water than rub some Era Laundry deteregent OR Dawn dish soap on the spot. Rub in a little, then wash in cool water.

sling them in the bin, that will get shot of that annoying stain.

you can't get rid of the stain. just throw them away, and buy some more.
