I have a summer cottage that the thermostat contacts stayed closed for up to two weeks, this caused the furnace to run up to the internal limits and cycle at max temp.
I keep running into leaks on the 3" drain lines within the cottage. My next move is to prove to the insurance adjuster the leaks are heat related? Any suggestions?

Last summer I gave a contractor 15,000 to do some major work on my little home. A month later he went bankrupt. I am disabled and remortgaged my house to get that money. Now no money and no repairs. I sure could use some help. I have been trying to work part time. I am also able to do some of the work by myself, but that doesn't help when I can't even afford the materials now. Have been trying to get some other online work going, but not successful yet. Just running out of avenues and options. There is no ceiling insulation and that really needs to be done this summer, but i just don't know how at this time.

I finished a rennovation and need to switch door hinges. I am about to order them but some sites have much cheaper bronze hinges and I worry. Baldwin looks good. What about ball bearing, stainless vs brass, etc.?
Thanks

Hi! I recently let my boyfriend buy a recliner to add to our living room. There were only a few colors to choose from, and the color we ended up choosing does not match our couch!! Both pieces are from La-Z-Boy.

This is the fabric of the new recliner:

This is more along the fabric of our original couch:

What can I do to tie them together?? I feel like they are such different shades, our living room is now lacking harmony!

I have had this flower bush in my yard for as long as I can remember. It is so beautiful and it is fascinating and beautiful because it only blooms in the winter time. When it is not flower which is when its not cold there are these dark green leaves glossy leave on it and they are i'd say medium size. But the flower are all this pretty dark red color. And they kinda look like a rose. check out this like to see it, oh and excuse my gigantic smile :-) http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=50355153&albumID=0&imageID=1021571

The inside of the house smells like trash, dirty water and cat...what's the best way to get rid of nasty house smell before and after cleaning and scrubbing? I really like the house itself, would love to buy it, it just needs some cleaning.

This cat is driving me crazy. It keeps going in my yard and tearing up my garbage bags and completely ruining my lawn. It keeps digging up and overturning divets in my yard. Half the grass is already gone and the snow's only been melted a week! Last summer he ruined my entire yard. We had to turn it all over and replant it. Now here we go again! I've never seen a cat do this before. It's not my cat and I live in the city so I can't shoot it. (even though, believe me, I'd love to) I can't get ahold of it. Every time I see it doing it, I can't catch it. What can I do? I cannot afford to keep replacing the lawn and it's really an eyesore.

I received 3 beautiful bouquets of flowers on Mother's Day, and would like to know how to extend their lives. Some came with little sachets, which I have used. And I have followed the cutting instructions for the stems, too.
My young son thinks our living-room is a florist's. : )
