Also will it hurt the birds. The weed and feed says if you get it on your skin or clothing to remove clothing or wash skin immediatly, yet it has no mention of use on pet areas and I know this is a product that people use on thier entire yards. But I am a little unsure of using it where my dogs go out.

Help, I was thinking about adding some blown insulation to existing loose insulation (6yr old home) and noticed there was a significant area about 4x4 which was open from the attic of the attached garage (no insulation there) and the attic where I was going to add some more insulation. Both sections have there own venting, before I cover this up is it required to be open? Thanks so much for your info. and sorry if the question is confusing.

I was unable to pay my pg&e bill and they shut off my gas. I'm not thinking of trying to use propane in place of natural gas for all of my gas appliances or anything. And I would only turn the propane on when I needed hot water for a shower or something and then I'd shut it off. It would only be occasionally if it is able to work.

These are narrow, about 18" wide and 5 feet tall. Standard 8-ft ceiling. 3 windows on side wall, 4 on street side, with 3-1/2 feet between them. 1 window on each wall gets covered by a door when it's open, so nothing that sticks out very far will work. Privacy needed, but don't want to loose the daylight.
Have left the previous owners mini-blinds up there "temporarily" for 5 years - time to do something wonderful. But everything I come up with costs about $200 per window and that's too much times seven!!!
I am crafty, and my style is traditional-transitional-eclectic, so I'm open to suggestions. Any great ideas?

A snow storm caused a tree branch to partially separate my power line. I had lights but other things wouldn't work. When I got the line repaired the fridge turned on but has stopped cooling. Burned out compressor? It sounds like it cycles on but quickly turns off. Is this repairable at reasonable cost? Thanks in advance.

It's probably stuck by the brass soup ladle, or the chunky lemon squeezer made of glass.

There is somethng seriously wrong w/ the dryer (it's a gas dryer converted to propane). Upon testing it after hook-up , the dryer started smoking and smelled like metal, or oil burning. The smell is overpowering, even w/ the dryer off. The store sent a clueless repairman who actually said he doesn't know why it's doing that and maybe it's some "oil burnoff". I told him no new dryer should smoke like an overheated engine and smell like that. He said I should run the dryer and see if I can "burn it off"! I will not do that, the smell is noxious and it has permeated my whole house, making me sick, even now with the dryer off, unplugged and the gas turned off. Unfortunately my dryer is not in a basement or separate laundry room, it's in a small closet in my main hallway, so I can't get away from it. . The store is giving me the runaround. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any suggestions? I know this CAN'T be normal!

Hi

I bought one of these hard-floor upright vax cleaners for my mum (save her cleaning kitchen floor with a floor rag on her old knees).

Its same as this:

There is a bracket which comes with it, screws, plastic screw-plugs... so it could be conventiently hung up on a wall when not in use (like under the stairs).

I'd like to fit that part up but don't know how. I've got a device to check theres no live electricity cables behind the wall, and I've got an electric drill set. Last time I tried to put shelves up I destroyed the wall... well left big holes in it anyway which were too big for the screw plugs.

What's the best way and order in which to drill/fit screws/screw-plugs for such a thing please ? (I've always wanted to know this) Thanks.
