Building lots of houses behind us. Being overrun by rabbits. Having babies. Lots of rabbits everywhere in my yard. How do I get rid of them with having to hurt them. I know that vinegar sprayed around will keep cats away but what about rabbits. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just bought a new shower head that comes with a straight pipe that goes thru the wall, to which a rain type shower head is attached. Currently there is a bent pipe thru the wall that is not suitable for this head. Is there a potential problem in unscrewing the pipe thru the wall and replacing it? Obviously I cannot see what is happening, and I don't want to tear down a tile wall.

Even though the power has been shut off, I want to ensure the optimal level of safety. I have taped the circuit breaker switch off and placed tape over it indicating to keep it off. Now, in what manner should I cover the uninsulated ends of the positive and negative wires? Should I tape them together or should I tape them separately? Do i have to tape the grounding wire? Thanks alot! P.S. Don't wory I will not even attempt to wire my new dishwasher.

I collected a bunch of rocks from a nearby lake. I want to polish them up and make them really pretty. Are there any chemicals involved? I've cleaned them with soap and water, but they still look the same minus the dirt. Some of them look like Quartz. Some are just look like regular rocks.

I've got a few potted houseplants and I've just got them in regular potting soil. They are doing well but then again I can control their feedings and waterings. I do move 1 of those plants outside in the summer so it will flower, but other than that I've never had a successful outdoor container garden. I'd like to try again, but in my research on the types of soil and drainage to use, I've gotten confused. What works for you all? I'd like to plant some ornamental grass, pansies and petunias in the various containers. I have 4 window boxes and 2 24" containers.

Thanks!

Well, I finally installed my new light fixture to find out that the switch on the wall does not turn the lights off?!

I have coming from the ceiling's box a group of black, a group of white and a single red (there is no bare copper ground). The fixture has a black, a white and a bare copper ground. I attached the copper ground to the fixture's mounting bracket, black to the group of blacks from the ceiling, and the white to the group of whites from the ceiling, and left the red alone.

What is going on? Should I attach the red to the blacks?

shower hose leaking and kept it wet constantly. I think I fixed the shower hose but need suggestions on how to patch the tile as I can't have the bathroom done over right now.
What about concrete over the broken tiles? Tacky I know, but there seems like there is no base for the tile to adhere to as there is a shower pan underneath, any advice appreciated.

The concrete slab at the side of my house cracked and as a result was almost separated into 2 parts. 1 side is now lower than the other side. Can I just pour cocrete over the two slabs to make them level? Or do I have to remove the slabs then pour concrete on the natural ground?

What is the best way to set up two shallow well pumps running off their individual sand point wells. Will one pump damage the other if it is bigger or puts out more gpm? How is the best way to run it to the water tank and to the rest of the house. At the moment, the pumps have check valves at the sand points. the one runs to the water tank and out of it to the main house line, while the other tees intot he main house line after the other pump line leaves the water tank. Is there a better way?

From an appraisers point of view which appraises higher?
We have a 2-car carport (not enclosed, but roofed. Thats why I don't consider it a "garage".) and we're thinking about turning it into a large sunroom. It is built as part of the house. In fact, thats where my backdoor is. It is flat-roofed with a concrete floor (like the driveway). One side is my actual home and is brick and windows. The other 2 sides of the carport consist of a 3 ft. high brick wall and then it's just and open area to the roof. It would make a gorgeous sunroom and catch the morning and evening sun, but Im concerned about loosing and/or gaining value. We would still have a one-car covered carport in another location on the home. Would making a sunroom into this area be stupid? or raise the value? or decreast it? LOL. Many thanks.
