The floors and walls are plywood wrapped in aluminum. It's your typical car carrier. I want to add foam insulation to the interior and a refrigeration unit to make it one big cooler. Any ideas?

Make sure, that whatever unit you do get, that it uses available R-134-A freon, and not an old R-12, or R-22 unit, that would have to be converted. Good luck!

In addition to the other excellant ideas, you might want to consider adding a portable generator to this unit as well.. Unless you're pulling it with a 3/4 - 1 ton diesal w/RV wiring, you're going to need something to power your refer unit when your truck's off and / or disconnected.. Again, good luck !!

If you end up insulating your existing trailer for refrigeration, read the freezer section of this article:

Get a tractor/trailor semi refer unit. Buy it used and rebuild it...will keep it as cold as you want. You can buy these at many BIG TRUCK junk yards, and not hard to revamp!
