I use a lot of plastic bowls and plates because they are safe for the kids. But after a while a lot of them turn brown and it's so hard to remove the stains. Any suggestions?

Add a capful of bleach every time to your dishwater. For serious first time stain removal , use a 1/2 cup of bleach and pour into stains bowl and tilt it around til all sides have been covered then pour it into next bowl, glass, etc. It will definitely get the stains out. Using the one cap of bleach through cold and flu season has really worked for us this winter to get rid of the germs.

I am not sure about getting out the stains...but I do know how to prevent them. Hot water sets the stains in plastic, especially with acidic foods like tomato sauce. Rinse first in cold water, then wipe them off with a sponge or paper towel. After that you can put them in the dishwasher or wash them as you normally do. It's kind of a pain, but none of my tupperware or plastic plates have stains. I hope you can find a way to get rid of those stains!!!

Try putting them in the sink with warm to hot water and about 2 cups of bleach. let them sit in that for about an hour or so and then rinse them in the dishwasher or by hand.

My best guess would be bleach. I started to say Clorox, but any bleach would do. Just soak them awhile in a medium mix, and they should come clean.
