I have a smeg slimline dishwasher, and evertime i put a load on (normally for 150mins) the top drawer does not clean well at all.

All the glasses, mugs etc have thick hard dots (looks a lot like little bits of weetabix) Its very dry and i need to scub them to get them clean?

I use all finish products. Has anyone experienced anything like or similar with their dishwasher? How on earth do I fix it or stop ot from doin it.

Thanks

Thank you all for your answers the heater comes on now. Unfortunately, I had to go back to the old two-wire mercury thermostat because the fan that distributes the heated air through the house doesn't come on. The new thermostat has terminals marked R, W, G, and Y. The exhaust fan for the unburned gases and the furnace itself both come on. Do I have to jumper something to get the distribution fan to come on?

I have a kenmore washer, and it isnt old. I turn it on, and the water starts filling up, but stops after about 15 seconds. If I turn it off, then back on, it just does the same thing. What is wrong?

I also do not want the obvious suggestion of cutting the thing down. The thing is a very high leylandia type tree which my neighbour has deliberately let grow to block my view of the spectacular surronding scenery. He actually tried to bribe me with an empty promise to cut it down. I have since found out that this blockage of the view affects the sale value of my property. It also affects amenity , which is another point which I have seen quoted in similar examples. In other words it does not just happen to me.My neighbour is a nasty sad old man, and is doing this on purpose. Is there a straight forward way to deal with this matter other than start up my Husky chainsaw ?

am planning to get a wooden cage made for my budgies. Would anyone know of any thing available in India for non-toxic staining/polishing or painting of the wood and the wire mesh?

It affects mainly T-shirts, sweatshirts etc - they develop random red patches where the dye seems to have bleached out. We have changed from Ecover to Persil (non-bio) - no difference. It happened with our old Zanussi washing machine too (current one is a Bosch). We have hard water. It affects clothes belonging to all members of the family though mostly my husband.

Ok, so last week my smoke detector which is wired into my buildins electrical goes on the beserk and keeps on going off for now reason, we had it replaced, then today our vaccum wouldn't work in the plug although plugged in and turned on so i switch the plug and as i'm trying another outlet sparks come flying out of the plug with a small flame. My 3yr old did take a crrot peeler to the vacuum cord but the hubby being a 3rd yr electricians apprentice fixes it and does so properly without any crossed wires or anything. Could this problem be faulty wiring in our building? Or did my hubby miss something while fixing the vacuum? My son also never did this while the vacuum was plugged in and he never got down as far as the wires only the insulation. The building super says this is normal despite the fact that i told her the plug end on the vacuum was black and charred. Is it normal? I'm a girl what do i know!
Thanks!

I bought some light fixtures a while back that were a screaming deal. They are really nice, and cost like $15. I later came to realize that they use some funky weird light bulbs that no one sells. They have short brass prongs that plug into holes in the fixture. I don't know what they're called or what to do. Has anyone heard of these lights? Is there anything I can do to convert the light fixture to use normal bulbs instead?
