YES YES YES.....it does work.....I have painted all my plastic outdoor furniture...I changed the color from white to tan...I touch it up at the beginning of every Spring...It does not peel away....however there have been areas that have worn away from use...you must be sure to clean the surface first...Good luck!

It does work but first you need to take a few steps to make certain that it sticks and doesn't peel off sooner or later. Take these steps to remove all grease and grime which keeps paint from adhering to surfaces:
1. Wash the plastic furniture with liquid TSP which you can find at your local hardware store. Use the liquid instead of the powder for a number of reasons:
a) it isn't toxic like the powder
b) it is much easier to mix
c) you won't have to rinse it off

2. Lightly sand the entire surface with a fine grain sand paper and remove any dust with a soft damp cloth.

3. Use an oil-based primer spray paint to prepare the surface. I suggest Bull's Eye 1-2-3 or Kilz. You only need one coat. Let it dry completely (about 2 hours).

4. Use the spray paint made just for plastic pvc furniture, etc. It is MUCH BETTER to do 3 and even 4 very light coats instead of 1 or 2 thick ones. Using more but lighter coats will avoid any drips which are very hard to get rid of. Let it dry completely.

5. Enjoy your new furniture!

6. If you need to wash it every now and again after having painted it, wait 30 days before the first wash to allow the
paint to cure. After, you can wash it with warm soapy water using dishwashing liquid soap and a soft cloth.

Hope this helps! You might just find though that it's more trouble than it's worth because with the cost of the paint, the TSP, the primer, the sand paper, etc., and the low cost of patio furniture nowadays, it might just be less expensive (and less hassle!) to buy new furniture... I swear... we are becoming a disposable society! Oh well... your call. Good luck!
