I remember when I was young-my Dad cleaned a piece of tarnished furniture with traditional furniture polish.
But it did not come up very good. So he used a home made concoction that included vinegar.....

Does anyone know what this concoction was made from (apart from the vinegar)

Thank you

Who, what how and/or where do I get this job done tomorrow?
Hi, I have a 5 mtr x 2.5 mtr concrete sectional garage I have been asked to arrange for it to be removed from Sutton in Surrey and delivered to Rochester,Kent. the planks that comprise the garage are bolted together, there are no posts because it is freestanding. They are 400mmx1200mm x 50mm thick and weigh 70 kilo each. There are 29 planks that are heavy enough to be almost too much for two guys to move. tthe men that took the garage down are unable to drive a hire vehicle as they are too young (must be over 25yrs) and I do not even know what section or heading I should be looking under in the business pages. It's not removal men its not man and van (transit van is too small as roof panels are 5 mtr long), what heading do trucks with assisted crane loading come under anyway

I want to incorperate people's faces in a spring handmade quilt. Everyone at work has to make a 12 x 12 inch quilting block for the quilt. I want to put their faces in the middle of flowers. Also everyone has a piece of the same material they have to use in the block in some way to tie the whole quilt together.

I think the stain may be cooking oil which had splashed out of a fryer in the house.

My P.E. shirt gets washed every week after Friday but as I run every Wednesday, it gets kinda smelly. Is there any way to get rid of the smell at school other than taking it home? Any answer other than "axe" or some kind of perfume/deodorant is appreciated! (axe gives me headaches)

Ok, so we have decided to build a 2 story garage. situation is that we are going to live in the garage while building our house. We need 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living area, w/d hookup..pretty much a decent sized apartment. I am willing to have 2 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. All three upstairs would be perfect though. We want warmth in the winter and cool in the summer. Kitchen size is not important, as long as i can store some food and cook. Is there any cheap way to do this. garage dimensions are another thing...woudl a 30'x40' garage do. Anyone with any advice please help. If you have done this before that would be excellent. Anyone with "free" floor plans? that would be awesome!!

It has gaps about 2"-3" between pads. They are filled with asphalt now. I would also like to know if I should stain the concrete afterward or just paint it. I'm trying to get the look of a solid sidewalk instead of alot of pads of concrete...

SORRY if this is posted three times... I have been having internet problems, causing everything to be triplicated.

I want up to three 2-gang sockets in my shed, mainly to run a fountain pump, outdoor lights (few hours per day), plus occasional use of lawn mower, hedge trimmer, etc.
The shed is like a brick extension to the house, and it appears possible to run cables under the floorboards (house is elevated) out into the shed without them going outside (had been done previously, but stripped away).
Would I be able to have these sockets added by extending my downstairs ring circuit, using 2.5sqmm twin-core and earth cable? Would there be any problem (e.g. voltage drop) due to long length of wire between sockets - at most, the cluster of sockets would be 6-8 metres from the neighbouring sockets on the ring (back in the kitchen), and can this be got round? If this plan is not feasible, can you suggest a suitable alternative arrangement?

I am trying to find out the best way to get rid of popcorn ceilings, the previous owners had the entire house (basement included) done with this STUFF, and it has been painted over. I would like to find out the best way to rid our home of this, w/o putting up new sheet-rock. Any suggestions?
