I'm organizing my room, and I want to turn the collection of shoeboxes I have into something really cool that I can use to organize stuff.

I don't want to make any useless art projects that I'll throw out, and I don't want to just put stuff in the shoeboxes. I want to connect them somehow... and use it for something...

But I'm stuck. Any ideas?

THe homes are all small and at least 50 years old. They need some curb appeal sometimes and many people add those covered areas to their front door. How much does that set one back and can it be recooped in the sale of the house?

ok... someone said that you can eat aloe plants. So my questions is... can u really eat aloe plants without getting sick... is it good for you??? If you CAN eat it... which parts can you eat?

Also... if you don't have a sun burn... and you take aloe from a plant... and rub it on ur skin... is it good for ur skin? Or is it just there?

THANK YOU!

I have purchased a new 30,000 btu a/c window unit. And yes, this is the proper size for the room. I understand that it should be on a dedicated circuit but I havent gotten around to getting one installed. At this point the unit is plugged in but shares the circuit with some plugs that are not in use. At any rate, when the a/c is running (fan only or cool) our meter spins out of control and our bill went up about $200 the first month of having it installed. Is this a/c faulty or is it the circuit. By the way, my neighbor who has an old unit pays about $65 max during the summer.
Thanks for the input in advance!

I heard about one of those homeowner communities and they award one homeowner with a sign for "Best Yard" each month. That just would make me fall over and die with joy. I can't help it I'm a passionate gardner and can't plant this year because I'm moving in a couple of months. Its agonyyyyyyyyy! My Gurneys catalog keeps coming and it cry as I throw it away. I don't even want to look at it, its too painful to know I can't garden this year. Anyway, do you take as much pride in your lawn and garden as I do? : )

The washer in the basement and the toilet are very close and both about 2 ft from the main drain line. Is this a venting problem? A blockage problem (the toilet drains fine otherwise)? What is the best course of action? Can I ignore it?

There's a bush on my property that i want to get cuttings of before i move and I want to know the name of it aswell. A bloom is 5 pink leaves with the top 3 having some wierd dark red "tattoing" on them, and little "feelers" coming out of the center of the bud. It's a fairly leafy plant aswell, but this one has grown long stems before if makes new stems so i feel it could grow more compact with pruning. I'm not a gardener though, but i'd like to make two new plants and try to keep them compact. If you can't tell what they are by the description is there a website with like a database of flowers/bushes?

Hi new to bulbs. I just bought some Hollyhock bulbs or tubers from Costco (haven't opened yet, didn't know hollyhocks were sold this way in a package?) I live in zone 8- Texas, will they bloom this year?
Also, I bought gladiolus and lily bulbs too. Altogether I have close to 120 bulbs planted. Is this enough for an average suburban lot? I have them planted in the front and the backyard. Do I need to buy more or is this a good amount of flowers? What's the success ratio for bulbs?
Thanks

I just bought a portable hot tub from Meijers and was wondering how long it takes to heat it up to 104 degrees. I have the filter and heat on to 104.The size of the heater is 1000 watts. The tub only cost $500 and holds 250 gallons. I have had the pump and heater running for at least 10 hrs. and the temperature is only 65 degrees. One person told me it could take about an hour a degree. Is that true? HELP!!

These are the red ants about 5/8 inches in lengt which have formed a nest and colony on one of the ferns in the garden and they seem to be spreading to the neighbouring plants.
