I live in a house with 4 apt's. All three of us have a landis model electric meters running out electricity, but the one aprt at top, best apt here has (GE meter model electric meter)?

I notice she dont; compain about high bills only all three of us.
-3 same meters, landis brand and one GE meter brand ?

The other apartment has had a replacement meter, brand new one. hasn't changed the PUC consumption one bit ??

Is our 3 meters ridged, or tampered by utility company before brought in ? we all have baseboard heaters, I guess they can blame our usuage on that ? Could i have a junction point spliced with top floor, using my bill ?

any suggestion on this ?

I recently learned that the home I purchased in 2000 (that was totally remodeld)
had sewer back ups going back as far as 1995.When Metropolitan Sewer of St.
Louis Mo.backed up on me in 2002 the head guy of his crew admitted the problem was on them,4 flushes to get it to finally break and clear. That morning
when they came here,I told the Head Guy that the old man(by voice)told me that
I must have a dead rat in my basement.I was thrown for a loop as well as the Head Guy and he had the insurance adjuster out here ASAP as the problem
should of been done that day.Every couple of years this happens but the water
floats above my pipes and that nasty water is coming up through a small crack
in basement flooring.2 backs up in the past 3 months. My stack was t.v scoped
and my lateral and all was just fine.$24.00 a month on bill,I stopped paying until
they hold to their words as to placing a Belly between their 6 ft deep pipes to my
5 ft below pipes.I owe them $108.00 Lien for threat.

I have Anderson Crank windows (they open like a door). All the wood trim is pine, but I would like to go to Oak. I tried making them, but it is too time consuming. Is there a place I can get the exact trim for my windows?

I have two older cats and one kitten and tons of ants. I don't want to use any of the products you can buy in the store because of the cats. I used to know of a mixture you made of stuff around the house but I can't remember it.

My plant has a stem that is longer and woody-like.

Someone said that it was a corn plant, but the corn plant has a darker main stem. Does the lighter stem grow out from the green leaves? This is a link to a corn plant.

It's a really messy home office. Looks like a joke. Tornado hit it. I've read a lot of organizing books but I'm not sure how to approach this. If I set up the whole Toss-Keep-Store piles then I am not going to be able to work tomorrow because the room has to be clean over several intermittent days. We need to be able to keep working here (several computer stations). My girlfriend told me to Attack Sections but when I try that one thing leads to another. Exmple, you clean one corner and find 65 things that belong in 65 other parts of the house that are not yet organized. I know this sounds nutty but I don't know what to do. How do I clean this room without making it dysfunctonal for days? What do you do with the gazillion things that need putting somewhere else, but you don't have time for that right now? Ack! There is so much stuff here and it is NOT just papers, there is clothing, artwork, supplies of ALL kinds.

We just bought our house last summer and we are totally clueless to landscaping. There is a flower bed about 6x1 right outside the entrance walkway. Ofcourse there is nothing but weeds in it right now but I would like to put something in there that is easy to maintain that can resist alot of direct sun. We're in Texas and temps can get up to 105. Any ideas? Also, do I plant seeds or the flowers you get in the little containers. Much detail is requested as I have no idea what to do.

I have huge bumble bees - I guess that's what they are. I have wood siding on my house and every year these stupid bees come in droves and bore holes in my wood. Not to mention they annoy me and my dog. I don't have any idea where their nest is to get them there. Anything I can effectively treat the wood with? I've tried regular bee sprays and WD-40, but that only kills them one at a time. It doesn't get rid of them in mass amounts. Thanks!

HI, your folks on here are my "support system", as I have no one at this time to run my questions by and I find that you also have excellent answers, so if you want to help, you can add me somehow so you can brainstorm with me. I have 2 guys coming to work in my yard tomorrow, and I want to "tell them what I want done". Curtis has rototilled for me and I was pleased, but this entails more, and I feel like he wants to get paid the big bucks to do the easy work. How can I approach this in a way so that we can both be happy. I am a strong, assertive female, altho I think he feels I don't know what I'm talking about and I do. I need suggestions on how to prioritize the list of to do and what attitude to have to "work with him". I want him to dig up my old flower bulbs before he tills a larger area and I think I should pay by the hour for this because if they dig slow and are lazy, I'll let them go away ! I used to do it all myself before I got sick so I know well what can be done.
