Today I noticed on the side of my house, a large amount of insects that I've never seen before. They are about the size & shape of a lightning bug. They are completely black except for small red markings on the back. There is no specific design to the markings...each bug seemed to have an individual set of marks. They are flying bugs and, like I said, were in a large group of about 100 all on the side of my house. I live in Ohio and the weather has just began to get warm. If any one knows what type of bug this may be, please let me know. I've been searching and searching, but I haven't found anything yet. Thanks so much!

I was mowing for the first time this spring and when I was almost done it shot out a giant plume of white smoke and died. Its a cheap 3 yr old mower. I changed the oil before hand, the air filter looks pretty clean. Should I have done something else to bring it out of winter? I think it overheated probably since I was on a steep hill and the grass was pretty high. Help?

I used Dylon Wash and Dye, and only being half awake I tipped it into the wrong place. There's now dye sludge in the drawers of the machine which I can't get out completely.

Is anybody else an idiot like me and has done the same thing, who can tell me how long it will be before my whites are safe to go in and not come out grey (it was black dye....)!!

I don't know if I spelled correctly.
The water pump is to make a special small decoration, that flows water constantly. If for home, not for garden.
I prefer to buy it in Los Angeles.
Thank you.

I was intending to install a dedicated 220v recepticle, but the cost of doing this verses buying a 3000 watt, 220v continuous use transformer (about $100-$150) seems somewhat cheaper and so much less labor intensive. I realize it's preferred to wire a permanent installation, but I'd like to save time and trouble. How simple to only have to plug in a transformer instead of spending a few days with a wiring project? How practicle is this implementation?

My new apt is not properly ventilated and the wall forms the back of the built-in closet. I can see that moisture may affect the wall of the closet especially as it is painted and may get my clothes all dirty. I need something cheap and home made maybe to help with the humidity and odor.

We bought a house with a pool and it needs a new liner. The liner now overlaps. So I would assume I need a 24 ft. liner.

I have tried looking online. My boyfriend had this plant here since I moved in with him but doesn't know what it is. I am curious. Here are the links to a couple pictures I have taken. One is a close up of the leaves, one is a picture of the whole plant.

I poured oatmeal down my kitchen sink a week ago and it has been clogged up since. Drano and the plunger haven't worked. I bought a snake but I can fit it into the small drain openings. What do I do now?

I recently moved to Maine from Pennsylvania. I'm going to plant a garden this summer, but I don't know what sorts of plants and flowers will do best in the cooler tempetures. Any ideas? I'm renting the house, so I only need plants that will last one season. (the landlord already okayed the garden, so I don't have to worry about that). The house has a small yard bordered by trees on two sides, and a neighbor and a road on the other two, and most of it is very sunny. Its very rich, dark dirt, but its a little rocky. I'm looking for flowers, vegtables and herbs. I'm also on a budget, so plants I can grow from seed, or plants that are inexpensive would be the best. Any suggestions would be great! thanks!

I'm teaching myself some basic electronics just as a hobby. My question is does the neg. lead on both a NPN & PNP transistor always connect to the neg. side of the power supply? I want to be able to build some basic electronics projects and know more than just where each component goes by looking at the directions. I know the proper way to learn this would be to study up on all different parts but this is purely as a as time allows hobby. Where can I find some information on circuit board design 101. Thanks
