I just bought a dryer and need to transfer it across state, about 7 hours. i need to know if it is safe to lay the dryer on its side or on its back to transfer it, or does it need to be upright?

Dryer should not be a problem. Washer if it has any water in it would be a problem and a refrigerator if laid down should be set upright several hours before restart due to the freon inside

It would be best to keep it upright, but do what you have to do. I doubt it will cause any damage that coldn't be repaired quickly.

not a problem. the only appliance to worry about is a fridge, because of the freon.
