HI, your folks on here are my "support system", as I have no one at this time to run my questions by and I find that you also have excellent answers, so if you want to help, you can add me somehow so you can brainstorm with me. I have 2 guys coming to work in my yard tomorrow, and I want to "tell them what I want done". Curtis has rototilled for me and I was pleased, but this entails more, and I feel like he wants to get paid the big bucks to do the easy work. How can I approach this in a way so that we can both be happy. I am a strong, assertive female, altho I think he feels I don't know what I'm talking about and I do. I need suggestions on how to prioritize the list of to do and what attitude to have to "work with him". I want him to dig up my old flower bulbs before he tills a larger area and I think I should pay by the hour for this because if they dig slow and are lazy, I'll let them go away ! I used to do it all myself before I got sick so I know well what can be done.

You are hiring 2 guys to work for you.
You are the employer so just tell them what you want done and in what order you want them to do it.
Make your priority list the way you want things to happen and give it to then when they show up for work.
Before they start agree on the hourly rate you will pay how much you will pay for the total job.
Paying by the job instead of by the hour removes the worry about them goofing off.
