My P.E. shirt gets washed every week after Friday but as I run every Wednesday, it gets kinda smelly. Is there any way to get rid of the smell at school other than taking it home? Any answer other than "axe" or some kind of perfume/deodorant is appreciated! (axe gives me headaches)

Try FeBreeze. It gets rid of odors and doesn't have a scent.

You need to wash the shirt as soon as possible so the smell doesn't have time to set in. Try using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda with your regular washing detergent. One handfull added to a normal load will help. I have to do this will my husbands P.T. clothes(Army),and all of his workout clothes. It is the only thing that I have found that really takes the odor out. Baking soda can be found in the laundry isle in larger boxes than the normal baking size. Since you can only wash it once a week, when at school try to hang it in a way so that it can air dry as much as possible. Febreze may help when at school, but to really get the odor out try the baking soda.

Here is a way for you to make your own fabreeze at home, it is less expensive and works better, Half cup of warm water to a spray bottle that is empty and clean, two tablespoons of baking soda and half cup of liquid fabric softner, add all these ingredients to the spray bottle preferably one with a fine mist, just shake before spraying on clothes, this will deodorize your shirt so you can wear it longer inbetween washings. Good Luck !

Other than washing it, you won't get the smell out of it.
Maybe you should have more than one gym shirt so you can bring home the stinky one and have a fresh one for the next day.
Hope this helps.
