After a shower, leave the curtain open for a while to let the bath dry out. Open a window or leave the bathroom door open to let the moisture out of the room. Keeping things dry and cool are the main things. Install a bathroom exhaust fan if you have a serious problem.

The secret to prevent mold and mildew is not allowing moisture to stand in place. This can be done by wiping down the area after each use or good air ventilation which will evaporate the water.

Don't close the shower curtain or shower door after use, leave it open so that air can circulate.

Clean good and kill it all first.....mildew needs moisture to thrive so the dryer the bathroom the better. Try toweling down your shower after use and keep a fan going to circulate the air.

Ventilation. The high humidity is what causes the problem. Run your bathroom's fan for at least 20 minutes after your shower. You can get a switch at the home improvement store that will put a timer on it so it turns off on its own.

Get Kaboom and a scrub brush. There is no ending the yuck. You have to scrub once in a while. Or have a man re-caulk the shower or tub. They sell caulking with a no mildew stuff. It works great.

Innudate the area with lysol spray after every shower/bath.

Sometimes, when not bathing or showering, innudate the area anyway for the principle of the thing.

You buy more bottles of lysol, but you spend a lot less time scrubbing mildew.

Yep.
