A pressure gauge would work, but what are you really going to learn here? You know that the pressure is low, you don't need to know how low.

If the problem is throughout your house, you may want to check to see if the water is turned all the way on the main. If the problem seems localized, it may be the individual supply line. Check that too.

Once you've determined that your kids didn't turn down the water, call the city to ask them if they're doing anything on the city side of the mains. THEN you can call the plumber to see about sediment and repair/replacement of your pipes. Good luck

You need a water pressure Gage. You can purchase these at your local hardware store. First, check your water pressure at your outside garden hose connector. Pressure should be at least forty pounds. Now, ask your neighbor if you can test his water pressure the same way. If his pressure is higher, you have a problem at your house. If his pressure is the same and he also complains of too little pressure, the problem is probably with the city water works.
If you neighbors pressure is much greater than your pressure, your problem may well be either a corroded water line or a leak where you cannot see or have aces to. Like under the ground.
Good luck

Since you're on city water you probably have a water pressure regulator at your city water connection. If your neighbors have good water pressure I would check your regulator. It may be that it is clogged with sediment or debris.

call the water company.its number should be on the bill.they can tell you whether or not its them.even if you dont have a leak, the leak could be on their side of the meter or on the same line in that area.
