General Health Care - November 2006

Sharp pain in left side of the head/brain. Seems like a headache after pains, doesnt last long. Sometimes blurred vision in left eye. Very painful, feels like left side is going to bust.

I've had it pierced for over a year & it's still oozy & crusty. I still put the disinfectant on it a few times a day. Sometimes I switch to rubbing alcohol or bactine. What can clear this up. I want to wear a pretty wire loop in it, but when I've tried it just makes the condition worse.

I just got on Atenolol four days ago and it's really wearing me out. About 30 mins after I take it I feel very fainty and if I sit/lay down then I fall in to a deep sleep. My body has felt weird, like tingly (for lack of a better word). And my chest feels tighter, or heavier. Like if my boyfriend lays his head on my chest while we're laying down then I feel like I can't breath? Is all this normal? Is my body just getting use to the medicine or is this how it's going to be?

So i want to know if the Fentanyl patch is going to make me sick???? I have severe scoloisis, 2 back surgeries last yr., lumber was fused, knee surgery last week so that i can have a total hip replacement when that gets well???? My back still hurts and will always hurt so what do you'll think?

please dont think Im a wuss, but I fell down 8 steps last Thursday and went to ER ! They said, that I double sprained my ankle???? Anyway, tomorrow it will be a week and now I CAN wiggle my toes FINALLY and put SOME pressure on my hurt foot I STILL CANT WALK! WHY??? They didnt tell me how long it would take to walk again or anything.. all they said was I had a double sprained ankle and keep my foot elevated as much as possible and take advil for swelling THAT IS IT!! They did put it in a air cast just wondering if any of you ever went through this????? Thanks in advance

I had a soccer game this past sunday and during the game, I made a sharp turn and all of a sudden, my knee started hurting when I straightened it. But, I continued playing. When I got home, I iced my knee and elevated it. After a few hours I noticed that the area below my kneecap was and still is swollen and its still painful to straighten my leg out completely.

Does anyone have any clue as to what happened to my knee, and should I continue playing soccer [I have a game in 2 days.]

If your tonsils hurt, where would that be exactly? Like in your throat nearest to your head or near where your neck connects to you chest. Right under my adams apple close to where my neck connects to my chest is where it hurts the most!! Ive had a sore throat condition 2 times since july and so i go to the doctor and get some amoxicilin to get it to go away, but could this lead to getting them taking out or is this just myself healing up this sorer throat condition? Any ideas?

About a month ago, my dad slashed the side of my face with a knife. As you guys can probably tell, he used to abuse me, but don't worry... he can't hurt me anymore. He was arrested for abuse around the same time i showed up to school with a stab wound on the side of my face. Everyone kept asking questions and soon the truth became public knowledge (mostly thanks to the lovely article the newspaper printed about it). I can't deal with everyone knowing and constantly talking about me, so i'm in the process of moving in with my best friend who lives in a little town in Colorado. This is a very small town, so if one person (other than my best friend) finds out, the whole town is going to know.
I really want to make a fresh start and not be know as the abused girl anymore. So, any ideas on how to make the scar go away, or at least less prevalent? Or... any believable stories that could explain away my scar to anyone who asks? I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer

I sprained my thumb about 2-3 weks ago and it was not movable but three or four days later i could bend it which was normal...
but ever since then I can move it but the joint which connects my thumb and hand has hurt... I crack my knuckles and It really hurts to try to crack the thumb. it is a little swollen and I really haven't been taking care to watch it or try to make it better
is there something bad wrong with it or will it heal eventually?
Any suggestions as to what to do?

ok gross i know but these shoes i wore yesterday gave me a blister on the bottom of my foot. what can i do to make it less painful and to make it go away quicker? my mom said i could try to pop it or whatever but im not sure i want to.
any suggestions?
