I sprained my thumb about 2-3 weks ago and it was not movable but three or four days later i could bend it which was normal...
but ever since then I can move it but the joint which connects my thumb and hand has hurt... I crack my knuckles and It really hurts to try to crack the thumb. it is a little swollen and I really haven't been taking care to watch it or try to make it better
is there something bad wrong with it or will it heal eventually?
Any suggestions as to what to do?

Just last Sunday, i sprained my thumb while playing soccer [i fell & landed on it in a wrong way.] It's still swollen but its getting better.
I've sprained my thumb before, and it does hurt alot for the days following it.

So, don't worry about it, just ice it often, Don't try to crack your thumb and try to move it as little as possible.

Hope it heals nicely. =]

get a little stress ball or a worn out tennis ball and give it a squeeze for 2 minutes at a time about 5 times a day. Oh ya stop cracking your knuckles and find another way to reduce your stress. If it continues to give you pain go to a Doctor.

Good Luck

You got X-ray vision?
then go see a doctor, have an x-ray, and you will know what's wrong.
Don't risk ending up with a stiff thumb
