I've been having this pain and it's kinda in my lower abdominal annnnd near the pelvic bone. It done like...ache on it's own normally. But sometimes if you just push a little there it's really painful and I haven't had my period in a long time. Is there a link between the two? What could it be?

Oh. It's not cramps really either. I mean, sometimes I have cramps but it's normally not where this pain is. And I've been needing to use the restroom a lot lately.

Hi, I've been diagnosed with a muscle strain. Next week I get my tests done to see how bad it is. I think its pretty bad because I've been having muscle spasms in My upper arms, back and legs, also tingling on my upper body and sometimes I sweat in sleep. I already had a MRI done on my spine and no herniated discs anywhere, Went to Neurologst all my nerves check out ok and also had a blood test done at my doctor and everything came back ok. I wanted to ask if someone knows how serious my strain is by symptoms ive described. Also I've noticed the pain goes away to a great deal when I take in Magnesium/malic acid tablets and I've also been taking in Glutamine, Fish Oil, and eating a lot of Banana's because I hear Potassium is crucial to rebuilding damaged muscle. Do you have any more tips on supplements that could help me or should I be doing stretches or something in the meantime? Thanks.

Ive had both my toenails on my big toes removed and the nail plate treated with phenol. I had really curved nails so the podiatrist recommended it! Anyway, here I am sitting with my feet elevated and my left toe is really really hurting tonight, its got its own pulse! I was just wondering if anyone had it done and how long before you could drive and how long it took to heal and why do I need to elevate my feet? (Im not diabetic so hopefully will not have healing probs! And I the procedure done yesterday)

I don't ususually have a problem with my back, but after moving air conditioners last weekend, and then sleeping on a "not so great" mattress for two nights after, an aching back has set in and NOT going away! (Yes, it's lower back.) FYI what I have tried:
Heating pad, heating packs, alternating heat with cold, muscle ointment, pain medication (Alleve), gentle exercise and flexing (although maybe someone would have some specific ideas here?), avoiding any lifting of even medium variety, trying to stay off the computer for most part(!), pillow for support....anyone with other ideas???

PS I have tried chiropractor in the past, and didn't like. Would consider massage therapy, but hoping for other solution before spending time and $$ for massage.

I forget how I hurt my ankle, because I just started weights and strenuous dancing, so I've been quite sore. But anyways I twisted my ankle a little bit more than a week ago, its gotten worse. I noticed yesterday I have a huge lump on the front right side on my right ankle. It doesn't hurt to walk, but it just hurts once i'm sat down from walking or excercising. It falls asleep really quickly and it feels strange when I walk on it. And another weird thing is I'll be sitting down, and all of the sudden it'll be torturing me with pain!! I mean it always hurts at about a 3 on a scale from one to ten, but it'll be a full blown ten!! Please help!!! And also, should I go to a doctor, because I really need a speedy recovery and I haven't been doing RICE.

My 5 year old daughter woke up really tired this morning. She is tired every morning so I didnt think much of it. Last night she threw up about 5 times and then she was fine. I got a call about an hour after I dropped her off at school apparently she had just ate breakfast and her head just dropped to the table. They took her to the nurse and her blood pressure was slightly low 70/40 and her left eye would roll in towards her nose while she was starring off into space. I took her to the doc immediately( she is on medication for ODD) they said she might have had a seizure they ran some blood work and we have to go back tomorrow. Does anyone know if maybe she really had one or not. I also can't keep her awake now. She just sits there staring off into space unitl she falls over asleep? I am worried! I just wanna know whats wrong with her and the doctors here don't tell you much.

My insurance is great: It lets me choose from more than 3,000 possibilities for my primary care physician.

Its search engine is mediocre: I can see a small amount of info on each physician (location, gender, languages spoken, specialty, and year graduated) but no aggregate data.

My social skills and networking are poor: Any time I ask a co-worker or friend for advice, the conversation just embarrasses both of us. I have no dependents.

Ideally, my physician would score high points on the following:

1. Communicates extremely well in English, especially by e-mail, and will spend sufficient time to answer my questions and verify my I understanding.

2. Shares my focus on prevention and health, not treatment.

3. Has a staff that understands the insurance bureaucracy and can take most of the administrative burden off of me.

4. Stays current on recent research and findings.

I don't know why or whether to prefer "Family Practice" over "Internal Medicine" or "General Practice".

I have recently developed shin splits. I know ice is good right away, but what is the time limit to ice? I work out in the am and them go to work. Can I still ice when I get home at night or should I be using heat by then.

I broke my foot in 5 places a few weeks ago and had to have surgery. I wore this boot cast for the whole time. I had to take it off yesterday at the doctors because it should have healed, it has not. I now have to have more surgery to sort it out, I have missed at least 3 weeks of school because of this, I'm in year 8 and am doing several GCSE's this year. He has told me that I will be off for another month - I don't want the surgery but I cannot put any weight on it as the bones have slipped out of line, again. Can anyone tell me why the bones didn't fuse? I now have a huge scar running from the top of my ankle to the end of my foot, I don't want another. I told my doctor I don't want the surgery but he kept saying that I would, Can he force me to have surgery? My parents want me to but I really don't, he has also noticed that i have an old injury in my big toe, it was broken and fused wonky, so he's gonna break that and re-set it. but my q is: can he force me to have surgery??

Just wondering what the people think on here. Would you like to have everything done to save your life? And would this decision be the same if you were making it for a loved one?
