What can I take to stop pains in my arm (the bicep)?

I have been having this sharp pain in my left bicep for some time. I have taken different kinds of pain killers...they seem to relieve me for a while and the pain returns. I need a permanent solution. Somebody help me

Ibuprofen will take down the swelling and takeaway the pain.
