I forget how I hurt my ankle, because I just started weights and strenuous dancing, so I've been quite sore. But anyways I twisted my ankle a little bit more than a week ago, its gotten worse. I noticed yesterday I have a huge lump on the front right side on my right ankle. It doesn't hurt to walk, but it just hurts once i'm sat down from walking or excercising. It falls asleep really quickly and it feels strange when I walk on it. And another weird thing is I'll be sitting down, and all of the sudden it'll be torturing me with pain!! I mean it always hurts at about a 3 on a scale from one to ten, but it'll be a full blown ten!! Please help!!! And also, should I go to a doctor, because I really need a speedy recovery and I haven't been doing RICE.

Ankle sprain: stretched or torn LIGAMENT
Ankle strain: stretched or torn TENDON

Regardless of the injury, you should go to the doctor. A 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 usually means you should be in the ER, unless you are exaggerating. And, as you obviously know, you should be utilizing RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) to decrease the swelling and pain.

This matter, I can provide you a few recommendation. I had a couple of sprains of my proper ankle from basketball. Probably four occasions particularly unhealthy and a couple of different occasions I rolled it. I did bodily treatment a couple of occasions for it since I harm it truly unhealthy. When you sprain it, you are stretching/tearing ligaments. Now, you'll rehab the ones and they will get again however now not one hundred%. You're then extra suseptible to sprains. But, I discovered that there's a tipping factor. I sprained it so regularly, and my ligaments had been not effectively healed via rehab. I needed to have surgical procedure to head in there, tighten the ones ligaments up, and blank out a few free our bodies. Because at that factor, my ankle used to be so "free" that I would roll it simply going for walks down the avenue and step on a pebble. Plus, it harm truly unhealthy too. So, do not suppose that you'll simply hold to sprain it and it will thoroughly heal. The different large factor is make certain you thoroughly rehab it earlier than you play exercises once more. Make definite it is robust. Do the balancing physical activities, calf increases, and all that different stuff to make you more potent.

Well it's sounds like a spain ankle they hurt so bad it takes maybe uo to 3 weeks. If its swollen, aches, brused, can't walk but sometimes you can. You can go to the doctors if you want it is not really nessary to do. Yous should get a ice pack or a bag of ice and take a ace bandage and wrap it around. You can't have a speedy recovery if its really really bad it will take more than 3 weeks. When I had my sprain ankle it really really hurt but it like took 3 weeks for me. Be careful with your ankle. I hope you get a good recovery.
