I'm an RN who has taught Nursing for over 20 years. In some cases it is worth buying contact lenses on line. It will depend upon how long you have worn contact lenses, what problems you have experienced with wearing your contact lenses, and whether you can purchase the type of lenses that work best for you online. In most cases purchases of contact lenses are cheaper online but if you are having ongoing problems with lense comfort then you need to have an ophthalmologist who will continue to evaluate the fit of your contact lenses which isn't available online. Good luck to you.
