should I be getting up and walking on crutches after my foot surgery, even though my foot throbs? Or is it better to just stay in bed for 2 weeks?

You should be up and around. Staying in bed after surgery you will be risking pneumonia. That is if you had general anesthesia for surgery. Don't put weight on that foot till the doctor gives you the go ahead. If you foot throbs take it easy and elevate the foot and if the doctor okays it use ice.
