I have the same problem..it really bites! I can be active all day and not have a lot of discomfort..its when i sit and relax for 10 minutes and try to get up, i feel and look like I am 90. I do have a problem with a bulged disk in my lower back, and I believe that it may be the culprit. I am also going to seek a good chiroprator and get lined up properly. Good Luck

I have osteoarthritis in both hips. I have to stand and start moving slowly. Don't sit for too long, either. It just makes it worse. On the other hand, being on my feet a long time doesn't help either.

If your doctor allows it, I recommend Aleve. I have tried everything else, and this helps the best. I also take Tramadol-but only if I know I will be on my feet for a long time.
