I am getting over being sick except I have a cough that is taking awhile to go away. Yesterday I coughed up this bloody looking clot thing. Otherwise I feel fine and I have not done it since. What could this be. Should I be worried?

I have been ill since the New Year. It started with a virus along with all types of weird symptoms like: cold running water sensations in my arms, pins and needles, sensitivity to light, feeling very unwell. It then progressed into attacks: it feels like body shuts down, heart beats rapidly, breathing in gasps, feel like sleeping, then trembling and shaking, usually lasting about 15 minutes, afterwards being really tired for hours. My latest symptom is feeling sick and dizzy all the time. Dr's have done tests but come up with nothing other than anxiety and possible chronic fatigue (post viral) I am fretting about brain tumors, MS etc etc. The hosp are referring me for an MRI scan but only as I opted for it - to put my mind at rest. Can all this really be anxiety? It is ruining my life - I dont have a social life anymore, cant go to work or do any of my normal acitivities as I feel too ill and fear having an attack. Can anyone help me?

recently i am suffering from muscle weekness in my right hand. i did many tests to know the reason and visited many neurophysisians. they dignosed it as indian varient of motor neuron disease or restricted anterior horn cell disease. this type affects some perticular region and not the whole body. but i didn't find any reference of it on the net. want to know wheather there exists any such indian subtype.

Im a 25 year old male in CA USA, for about 7 years when i go to sleep at night I see things when my eyes are closed, I see my surroundings almost as i normaly would in the swirls of my phosphenes. motion is easiest to see, like waying my hand infront of my face, but I've seen other things as well (like my cat jumping on the bed). I havent really told anyone before for fear of them thinking i was crazy, but its becoming a problem. I have cronic insomnia and not being able to turn out the visial world is making it harder. has anyone heard of anything like this? it looks like fuzzy shapes only slightly lighter then the normal phosphene swirls. motion is easier to see, and things seem to leave a trail like in thoughs wierd 60s and 70 movies. I've even gotten visials of things you cant normaly see, like the studs in my wall. I dont do drugs or anything like that, and have no idea what this is. if anyone has any idea, please let me know.

thanks
Nathan

I've had this problem for at least 15 years -- waking up at night trying to swallow accumulated postnasal drip mucus, drinking tons of water, then waking hours later with a screaming full bladder. In winter it's worse because of the dry air, so I have a terrible night if I don't have a humidifier. Is this normal?? Does anyone else have this nighttime mucus swallowing thing?? Am I going to be chained to a humidifier for the rest of my sleeping life?

My step-son is only 4 years old, but he has terrible body odor if we don't put deodorant on him. He doesn't have the typical little kid dirty smell, it's major body odor, like a teenager that hasn't started wearing deodorant yet. Could this be a thyroid problem? He also is very hyperactive and won't eat if we don't make him. Has anyone else heard about the b.o problem in a kid before?

I was diagnoised with Fibromyalgia/RA. I was wondering if there is different levels of Fibromyalgia. I know I have days when I feel like I could just break. My poor husband can't even touch me sometimes cause I cringe in pain. Sometimes if the hair on my arms are moved it sets a wave of pain. I have found warmth as a big reliefer.

i have mono, and before i ever deleveloped symptoms i had a very enlarged lymph node in my neck, which is what brought me to the doctor. 2 weeks later (the 21st of of march) i was diagnosed with mono, which he said caused the swollen lymph node.

well today, i noticed a new swollen lymph node on the opposite side of my head behind my ear. is it usual that another one just comes up like that even though ive been sick for awhile?

thank you

I'm a pretty healthy person, a couple of months ago I was diagnosed with Anemia. It wasnt bad, took some iron for it. Anyways I get light headed at times when i get up. I guess that normal...but last night was jst plain scary. Last night i woke up around 3 in the morning. I was fully awake, I got up
to use the bathroom...and when i reached the bathroom my body started shaking uncontrollably and I dont know what happened after that...I all I could hear was myself shaking and and the the objects that were hanging on the wall moving. And I remember thinking "dont fall." It seemed like forever but this probably happened for a minute or less...What happened to me?

It only happens at swim practice. I've been getting these... "attacks"? I guess. All of a sudden my heart will beat wildy fast and all the energy drains out of my limbs. It makes me feel like i'm going to cry. I can't control it. I think it's all in my head though, so I feel like I should be able to control it. When I'm afraid it's going to happen it happens. Even when I know I can make a set it happens. It makes it incredibly hard to breath and I end up gasping for air after just a couple laps. I'm not at all out of shape. What do I do to stop it? It's happening like, every day

My head throbs constantly and feels like there is pressure there when I touch my head. Lots of the time it hurts to the touch over the place where I get my headeaches (which is in the back of my head.) I get dizzy when I stand up and sometimes I can't hear very well in one ear. I'm afraid but my general practitioner keeps telling me I'm dehydrated. What do I do? Is this really bad?

I am going crazy here, I have been sick for about 20 hours, a very mild case of food poisoning but one that nonetheless was able to wake me up in the middle of the night in a very hot sweat, send me running to the bathroom, have me pass out in said restroom, and wake up freezing and soaking with sweat. needless to say, awful, but I did not end up vomiting even once.
I've been dizzy all day and mildly nauseous. I had two peanut butter sandwiches about 6 hours ago but have decided I can't test myself with anything like that again - though I'm not VERY hungry i feel like i must eat something else before I pass out. But every time i get up to grab food I just think that it's an awful idea and it's bound to make me ill...

short version: is there anything a person with a mild case of food poisoning can eat before the symptoms are gone that won't make things [temprorarily] worse?

i am a student so my options are limited: i have rice, soups, beans, bread, spaghetti, couscous, tuna, bread...
