i think it is good to get opinions but sometimes people answering questions scare the daylights out of people. i personally think they should take out medical advice questions. if i ever answered a medical question it was just advice . i never told someone they had some disease or something. i am sure all or most of the people answering medical questions are not medically trained.
just don't scare people!

An alcoholic cannot control his drinking even after facing serious consequences & even with best of his intetion. Doctors not knowing his inability due to his disease most of the time advise the patient to limit his drinks. There should be more awareness amongst people and medical fraternity regarding alcoholism. It is a disease and instead of hiding it one should seek help which is available free of cost through Twelvestep programme followed in worldwide fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

I took one pill before bedtime and before 3am I awoke with chest pain and pressure, severe hot flashes, dizziness, tingling & numbness in my hands and feet, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, cold sweats and chills. I have never had a Panic Attack before. I was so scared and honestly felt like I was going to die and leave behind my 6 and 4 year old right there on the floor. It's been 4 days since the attack and I am still waking up with shakiness and a sick feeling in my gutt. I have lost almost 7 pounds because I cannot eat and have no desire to. WHATS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!!

My 5 yr. old (indentical twin) son has been complaing of leg pains lately. He went to the doctor and had a blood test done. At this time he was just completing a script for ammoxicillan for strep throat. The blood test came back abnormal and the doctor told us that it could possibly be Lupus (talk about sending us into a panic!). He had another test done because they thought it was abnormal due to the antibiotics. The blood test now came back abnormal again. His white blood cell count is low (according to the doctor) 4.4. I guess it's suppose to be 5.5 on average. Now we have to take him to see a hemotologist. The doctor now informed us that it could possibly be leukemia. I really don't think this doctor should be telling us that he could have these things unless she knows for sure. Should we be really worried about this or could it still be nothing?

My sister in law is having chest pain under her left breast and in her sternum. Her CEA levels are high and she has cold sweats from head to toe. I think it is Angina, MAYBE but I am not sure and I know it leads to heart attacks. It happened yesterday and again today.

I am taking Candesarten 8 mg. If I leave them off for a day, I certainly feel better. When I mention side effects to the Doctor they look at you as if you are imagining it.

All of a sudden the other day the back of my hand was swelling and turning bluish/green near my knuckle, just a small spot maybe an inch in diameter, so I figured it's broken blood vessel and the blood was leaking out, but I hadn't hit it on anything. Does anybody know what might cause this to just happen without injury? Thanks.
