My boyfriend seems to like to have a drink(s) every night. He also has plucked out all of his eyelashes, armpit, pubic, and chest hair. Are the two related in some way? Or does he have two issues that need to be looked at?

I don't have color-blindness, but every time I get my eyes checked, the optomitrist does a number of tests, includung a color-blindness test, (you know, the one with the colored dots in a circle, some of which form the shape of a number). Why do they bother wasting their time doing this, if there is no cure? And why do they do it every time, if it's in my records that I didn't have it the last time they did the test? Can a person with normal color-eyesight become color blind?

Over the past 3 days, the white part of my left eye has been looking worse and worse. Started out with a small vein-y looking spot of blood in one part of the white area. Over the next couple of days it increased to look as if 3/4 of the white part of my eye is red. If I pull my lid back a little, it looks like there is a thick blood clot on the white part that is hidden by the lid. I have no trouble seeing, and it doesn't really hurt but it does feel somehow different. Is this from broken blood vessels, and what could cause this? I've had no trauma to the eye recently and this really looks horrifying.

A friend of mine had never done coke before and she did 4 lines and rubbed a little on her gums and got a a chest pain for about an hour after using it. What is this a sign of, why did it happen and did she do too much? To make it clear I did NOT do coke, but I was a little concerned about her and wanted some input from anyone who is experienced on this subject. Thanks.

Okay I have allergy-related-asthma and it usually comes out in spring/summer. Since I'm supposed to be taking prescription medication my mom thinks we dont need it and is very aganist strong pills plus she thinks doctors are just trying to get money. Who knows. I've tried to convince her. My question is what air filter (inexpesive...50-)and over- the -counter antihistamines and any other things I need for this season would you reccomend? I have wheezing, couging, runny nose, etc, more like a cold except with wheezing.

Six months ago after having a heart attack, an individual was taken to the cath lab, angioplasty was performed, and three stents were deployed. The patient has done well. He, however, is now concerned about the risk of late complications and wants compensation, saying "If the doctors increased my chances for having another heart attack, even so slightly, I feel it's fair to ask for some kind of compensation."

Do you agree, is this reasonable? Do you have similiar expectations?
