Small white pills with a triangle in the middle; nothing written on the other side.

Do you know what these are???

I suppose I could take a tablet to a pharmacist and see what he says. However, if anyone has more direct information, please add details. The pills are quite small, white, and have a plain triangle on one side. Nothing written on the other. I guess one of the problems is that these pills are from Europe, so they may not be easily recognizable to Americans.

Possibly Maxalt MLT 10mg. It's a minty flavored orally dissolving tablet, and comes packaged in it's own blister pack. It will probably begin to melt in moist air.

Maxalt is a triptan (like Imitrex) used for migraine headaches.

I just read your extra information, it may not be Maxalt (at least the US version) if it's a very small tablet. Maxalt is just less than 1/2 inch in diameter. It's unlikely that a pharmacist in the US will be able to identify pills from Europe. We have access to databases that have all the information on legal medications in the US only. So far I have not found an accurate database for European medications. A poison control center might be able to get that information, but are not likely to do so unless it's been ingested. The one I've worked at has caller ID, so don't try to call one and give them false information.

Your best bet on identifying the pill is to ask the person who had it. If that is not possible, discard it in the trash, somewhere where children can't easily access it.

If you can access a PDR (Physician Desk Reference), try your local library..it's a book that contains info on all sorts of drugs and includes pictures as well. Perhaps you could find the picture of the pill you describe. Good luck.

There is a pill identifier online for prescription medications. This should be able to answer your question. If it is not a medication that was prescribed to you, throw it away.
