What is the range of normal blood pressure for a 21 y/o female? When does it start to be 'high' and when it is considered too 'high'?

I remember it was something like 120/80 is good - but when is high too high - like i should go to the doctor?

hello there,
the recent definition of hypertension is a blood pressure of more than 140/90 mm Hg in two successive occasions with at least 6 hours apart.
so your cut between normal and high is 140/90
now
stage one hypertension 140-159/90-99
stage two hypertension 160-179/100-110
stage three hypertension 180 and above/111 and above

needless to say stage three should be admitted to hospital

hope that's help

I'm a nurse and the normal ranges are 100 to 140 for the top number and 60 to 90 for the bottom number. Your heart is at it's peak for the top number and at the resting point for the bottom one. You know some people just have low bp like me, but I'm a vegan (it's considered as a healthy lifestyle). Take care and don't worry your bp is just fine. I would watch what I eat like foods that are not good for you.

if your blood pressure gets over 120/80, you could have the beginnings of high blood pressure. take measures to lower it right away.
