My 4 year old son keeps clearing his throat. He did it about 4 months ago for awhile then stopped and now hes doing it again. I keep asking if something is in there and he says no. He hasnt been sick but I do notice it gets worse after eating or drinking. I will be taking him to the Dr. just some suggestions would help.

When I eat I feel tired and I fell like iam going to throw up. I've tryed eating and it still does the same and sometime after i dont eat for a while and i see or smell food i feel kinda sick what is causeing this?

A student of mine pulled out a bottle of prescription eye drops today, telling me that he had high blood pressure of the eyes. He said that if it's not treated he can develop glaucoma. He's 16, and this sounds completely illogical, but, I also didn't major in biology or medicine in school.

My left ball is much bigger than my right one. It is almost as big as a walnut and my right one is pretty big also, but the left one is way bigger. I have no pain, I feel fine, and I am 15, but I am still worried that it could be cancer. Could it be cancer?

One of my friends that is visiting me has had hiccups for 10 days straight every 2 minutes or so. He has went to a specialist and they did an endoscopy and said MAYBE it was an ulcer; they weren't sure. After going all the way down and looking into his stomach. They gave him prilosec and that was it. No other help. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. And he's already went through all the home remedy books, lol.

i'm only 13 soo , and i know most people get it a little later then that. but these are the signs

-i microwave everything, from ice cream to stuff right out of the oven
-i wash my hands after touching ketchup, mustard, relish,etc.
-i dont eat anything that is off-white : mayonaise, swiss cheese, eggs, etc.
-when im home alone i have to have the lights as bright as can be.
- i have absolutely the crazziest thoughts: during class i want to just jump up and down screaming.
-i dont step on sidewalk cracks
-i am worried about people dying, and my future
-i make my bed everynight before i go to bed
- i spend and hour getting books on a shelf organized and when it doesnt look right i panic and cry.
- i have a low self esteem
-i dont sleep with pillows, if i do i feel like i will die
- and american idol is on right now soo yea

A friend told me that your body does NOT get addicted to alcohol, only your brain gets addicted. Is this true? Is alcoholism a disease? Should this be used as an excuse by alcoholics that because it is a disease it's not their fault?

A close friend of mine just went back into rehab for alcohol abuse. He's been struggling with this problem for years. When he got out of rehab last time he drank every day (about 4 standard drinks) but this was a lot less than before rehab. This time when he gets out - I think he should not be drinking AT ALL. If he continues to drink - is he still addicted? Is he capable of just having 'one' social drink or is the temptation too much?

I type a lot and every now and then my wrist will get sore. Now, its not like the other times.

The pain is in all sides of my wrist and I can't apply pressure to it or it'll hurt more. I can't pick things up, ball my hand in a fist and open a door that says 'Push' without feeling sharp pain. If I lay my arm down in a certain way, I'll feel a sharp pain.

My mom thinks that I have carpal tunnel but my friend thinks that I have pulled my wrist out of place since I slept on it last night and the pain worsened.

I know that a lot of people have sore wrists every now and then but I don't know if mine is normal.

A year ago I was diagnosed with EBV and two years ago had mono.

I have been exhausted the past 3 months and 4 days ago had a bad sore throat and saw white dots on my tonsils. I went to the doctor and they gave me an antibiodic used for strep.

However, two new white dots have appeared on my tonsil and today is the last day of my antibiodic. I still feel achey and slightly feverish. Is this normal for strep throat or could I possibly be experiencing mono for a second time? I'm worried about it being mono...

How can you tell the difference between mono and strep? Can you get mono more than once?

Any insight or personal experience would be appreciated.

I have asked this before. But I'm panicking. I noticed recently one of my balls is much larger than the other one. My left is a little smaller than a walnut and my right one is bigger than a grape. The left one has always been bigger than the right one, but I noticed now it is much bigger. I never examined myself before, so I maybe have always been like this. I have no family history of testicular cancer, I feel fine, and I'm in no pain at all, plus I'm 15, so what are the chances it is actually testicular cancer?

My doctor said that its positive so it could be a uti, or a bladder infection or cystitis or my kidney's, so he's not sure without me getting further testing, i don't have insurance and they want to do so many tests, I have neither the money nor the time off from work to keep getting all of the testing they want, but if it does go away it comes right back, at one point he wanted me to go in the hospital for kidney failure because I also have trouble urinating, sometimes I can't even go one time a day, when I do, i have to push and concentrate really hard to go, also I am retaining about 30lbs of extra fluids that is driving me crazy, i went from a size 1 and 3's to 7's and 9's i feel fat, swollen, bloated and crazy from it, can anybody help, also I am extremely thirsty all of the time, my normal body temp is 97. I have taken the cipra, levaquin and several other antibiotics none work...please help anybody?

Okay so everytime I cheat or lie I dont get mad or a bad feeling but if I turn in work I cheated on, I say to myself "Damn what the heck did I just do?" and then when I TRY not to lie but if someone ask me a question and I am trying to tell the truth, something just gets blurted out and I end up making up a big story

This started last sunday, and has not gone away. My ring and pinkie finger feel somewhat numb and tingly to the point where it feels as though it is somewhat asleep as well as half of my hand. I don't think or hope it is carpal tunnel because the symptoms of carpal tunnel involve tingling and burning in the index, thumb and middle fingers. I don't know what it could be, it has happened before but it went away. I do use my computer everyday and only work on the weekends as a cashier. I read that it mainly occurs in older adults and I am 18 right now. I am going to the doctor soon but wanted to see what other people think. Any ideas?

was a little high and my thyroid was normal and that i should see my pcp for another test in a couple of months but i've been having symptoms of hyperthyroid. and my doc knows about it shouldn't he put me on some kind of meds. instead of doing another test in two to three months.

Before you get on me for trying to get diagnosed over the Internet I am not. I just want some opinions before I ask my mother take me to the doctor (because I am only 14.) Recently (in last 2 weeks) I have not been able to get to sleep. I have laid in bed for hours. I have tried tv, no tv, music, no music, lights, no lights, everything. I tried to tak a nap after school and laid there for 2 and a half hours and just couldn't go to sleep. It feels like I can't stop thinking. I just have to keep going. What do you think this is? Is it just actue or chronic? Please help me. I have only had about 12 hours of slep in the past 3 days.

I think im fat. I think i am extremely fat. I am a 15 yr old male, I dont like to eat much, because i dont like to put on weight, my physcologist thinks that i might have anorexia, but i dis-agree, i dont know what to do, I really dont like to be straight forward, but i really get depressed about, it. Now i am sat here typing this, and i dont know what to do, i feel like crying its like my entire life is falling apart, if im honest i feel like topping myself.

A person 'pretends' or imagines they're are sick when they are surrounded by genuine ill people even when they are perfectly healthy themselves.
ie friend A has serious health problem. Friend B pretends they have problems too when they have nothing.

I'm 17 and I have some of the symtoms of a brain tumor except vomiting but my mom is hard to convince. Not only does she say that I'm always making up syptoms but I don't have health insurance so I have the chances of her taking me to get it checked out are 100 to 1. What should I do??? I pressure on the top my head
other symtoms are:
eye spasms
tremers in hands
headaches
loss of thought
forgetfulness
I you think it might be something else, then diagnose me. I also have digestive problems
