i'm only 13 soo , and i know most people get it a little later then that. but these are the signs

-i microwave everything, from ice cream to stuff right out of the oven
-i wash my hands after touching ketchup, mustard, relish,etc.
-i dont eat anything that is off-white : mayonaise, swiss cheese, eggs, etc.
-when im home alone i have to have the lights as bright as can be.
- i have absolutely the crazziest thoughts: during class i want to just jump up and down screaming.
-i dont step on sidewalk cracks
-i am worried about people dying, and my future
-i make my bed everynight before i go to bed
- i spend and hour getting books on a shelf organized and when it doesnt look right i panic and cry.
- i have a low self esteem
-i dont sleep with pillows, if i do i feel like i will die
- and american idol is on right now soo yea

A clearer picture of OCD I have never heard. Get some help before you drive yourself crazy and/or people lose patience with you because they have no tolerance. You are never too young to have it...I met a 3 year old with it. He insisted on watching the toilet flush all the way and had to wipe the seat all over after using it. It was a big time consuming project and at the time. By the time he was 7 it esculated to many other things. He was put on Ridlin because he drove his parent nuts.

Sounds like you have many issues to work out. See a Psychiatrist and he will help you deal. Life and Death are natural occurrences. You are so young and have your whole life ahead of you. Get some help and you will be more secure. Good Luck and Enjoy Idol

the whole organizing books on a shelf and crying if it isnt right...yeah thats OCD

I think it's OCD and perhaps something else going on.
Please, talk with your parents, a school official, some other adult you can trust. There are medications and other treatments that can make you feel better. Hang in there.
