My sister is having eye surgery, she is diabetic and her sight is affected by bleeding inside. The procedure includes putting a little air inside the retna and will leak out slowly. I don't know the proceedures name but any answers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Koreans, who swear by Kim-chi, the 3,000 year old traditional side dish, were immune to SARS and bird flu. While the diseases were spreading across Asia, there was not 1 confirmed case in South Korea. Scientists linked it to Kim chi, it is perhaps the best immune building food in the world. Unfortunately we have it every night in my house, it's an acquired taste

I know this question has been asked before, but can anyone talk from experience or any health professionals here? I've just been put on Amoxicillin and have a big party to go to Friday but really need to start taking them. All advice appreciated.

They only come about three or four times a year-usually in the Spring or the Summer. It's a very sharp pain in one side of my head. Occasionally I feel naseous. If I open my eyes or move my head the pain is much worse. It comes so infrequently, however. Don't migraines come on a regular basis for those who have them? How do I find out?

The reason I ask this is last week I went up the Eiffel Tower and waited about an hour outside to get in, and another hour outside waiting for the second lift, half way up the tower in very exposed conditions. The temperature was about 2 degrees and it was extremely windy with wind chill. I began to feel ill, and the skin on my chest went hot and cold. I felt very ill and got ratty with people, and couldn't stop moaning, and I'm not a moaner. I had to come down the tower at once, and at the bottom lost my temper with a friend of mine (I NEVER lose my temper) over nothing. I then nearly fainted at the metro station, and felt better after eating chocolate. It took me several hours to start feeling warm again. Is it possible I had hypothermia? I was wrapped up fairly warm, but maybe not warm enough. The fact that my personality suddenly changed was worrying - is this a symptom of hypothermia? Thanks in advance.

My daughter has been very unwell for over a year. She cannot keep food down and is sick after every meal. She does not have an eating dis-order. At the moment she is in hospital and has been for 2 weeks. She asked them to tube feed her. This they did gladly and inserted the tube into her stomach. This did not work and she was sick again. They then inserted it into her lower intestine and it worked for a few days then she was sick again. They are going to send her for an isotope meal (?) If she cannot keep anything down how will this work ? The doctors do not know what is going on with her and she is desparate. All she wants is to be healthy again. Please only genuine answers. We don't want to lose her.

I noticed them last night when he was getting in the shower. They were all over his body. From his cheeks to his toes. Some were quite large. He said he got them Sunday at church, too (he thought he was getting the chicken pox again, lol). I know of nothing different that we have done or that he has eaten. We gave him some Benedryl and he was fine this morning. What should I do if this happens again and what might be the cause? Could it be a delayed reatcion to a cat we got about nine months ago?

I've been told my knee pain was growing pains, arthritis, and plain old stretching of ligaments. They started, I think, when I was 5 and still continue to this day. I don't have the pain all the time, and it's not always in both knees. I am overweight now, but I wasn't until a few years ago. Also, when I bend my knees, they crunch. I've gone to more than my share of doctors about this and no one can tell me what it is for sure or how it can be treated, if possible. Any ideas?

This just started yesterday. His eyes are not red or watery. I ask him if his eyes hurt and he says no. He just keeps blinking really hard. It seems kind of like a tic. When I ask him why, he just says, "I don't know, Mommy."

Ever since last night I've been experiencing a sharp pain that happens twice a minute in my lower right abdomen. It just feel like someone is jabbing you with a knife real quick. It's horrible. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm calling the doctor in a few minutes once they open.

I recently had knee surgery and the arm where my IV was is kinda tender and you can see my vein, near the top of my arm the vein is kinda bulging. Should I be concerned? It's been almost 4weeks since I had the IV.
